‘Creepy tech oligarchs want to dictate your opinions’
By Paul Joseph Watson
Paul Joseph Watson’s sardonic YouTube monologues against social-justice warriors, mass immigration and modern art have racked up millions of views and have even caught the attention of President Donald Trump. Last week, Facebook designated Watson a ‘dangerous individual’ and banned him permanently, alongside others on the right. spiked caught up with this ‘dangerous individual’ to find out more about social-media censorship.
spiked: How did you find out you had been banned from Facebook?
Paul Joseph Watson: I received no notification whatsoever from Facebook. Facebook did not even send me a stock email to tell me my page had been deleted. I found out about it by media reports. I was on Twitter trawling through my feed. I saw CNN: ‘Paul Joseph Watson, Laura Loomer and Milo Yiannopoulos have been banned.’ I thought, ‘Oh, really?’. I checked my Facebook and my Instagram and they were still up. They were still active for about half an hour after the first media reports came out. So immediately that tells you that they had given the story to the media, to get their justification out ahead of time, so that they could own the narrative.
They gave the story to the same media outlets like CNN, where their journalist Oliver Darcy has spent the past 18 months lobbying the social-media firms to ban CNN’s competition. People like Darcy have been abusing their platform and acting as activists rather than journalists, going to Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and saying repeatedly, ‘Oh, doesn’t this post violate your policy? Doesn’t this violate your policy?’.

21 Questions To Ask Robert Mueller If He Testifies To Congress
Via The Federalist
Special Counsel Robert Mueller might testify before a friendly House Judiciary Committee, although the exact date is uncertain. President Trump has signaled he’ll block this under executive privilege principles.
But Mueller is a loose cannon who coordinates with the media and Congress and may just blow through any presidential objection, as he has already shown a willingness to defy his boss. That’s great news. Here’s why.
If that happens, Republicans will have the opportunity to ask questions. Traditionally, these tiny slices of time are used to make speeches in the form of a question. This would be a huge waste of time and likely what the Democrats will do anyway. Again, good. Let them. We’ve heard the speeches, and everyone will just fast-forward through them on the CSPAN video.
Republicans must not miss the opportunity to actually ask tough questions. Here is a very incomplete list of questions the Republicans—really all Americans—should ask Mueller.

The Green New Deal Is A Path To A More Militarized And Authoritarian Society
Via Reason
“Until you do it, I’m the boss,” said Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the socialist congresswoman from the Bronx, responding to critics of her Green New Deal in February. Later that night, the freshman congresswoman doubled down on her comment, tweeting that people who “don’t like the #GreenNewDeal” should “come up with your own ambitious, on-scale proposal to address the global climate crisis. Until then, we’re in charge—and you’re just shouting from the cheap seats.”
Much has rightly been made of the Green New Deal’s fuzzy-headed utopianism and its impossible goal of reducing U.S. greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero in 10 years. But we should also pay close attention to the plan’s authoritarian impulses, particularly in light of its historical inspirations: Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal and the command economy he established during the Second World War.
If proponents of the Green New Deal are serious—and there’s no reason to doubt them—then they’re proposing a return to a militaristic America where Uncle Sam’s heavy hand intervenes in all aspects of life, curtailing individual freedom in pursuit of their collectivist goals. And like the planners of the Roosevelt years, their intentions are clear and grandiose: They want the power to regiment a society of nearly 330 million people in pursuit of a pipe dream they liken to a war for survival.

Jew-hatred given a pass by Democratic Congress
Via The American Thinker
Being an anti-Semite is no longer a disqualifier for being honored by the current Democratic Party. The cultural barriers against Jew-hatred, which American Jews believed protected them, shredded by today’s Democratic Party, are reflected in the echo chamber that is the mainstream media. There is a new tone in American politics, in the media and on university campuses, which should scare every American Jew.
On May 9, a virulent anti-Semitic imam, Omar Suleiman, was honored with giving the opening prayers at the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives. Democrats chose to ignore Suleiman’s past public statements which compared Israel to Nazis and called for the destruction of the state of Israel. Will we next see Farrakhan or Obama’s minister, Rev. Wright, giving the congressional invocation?

Expert Psychologist Blocked on Twitter for Expressing Clinical Opinion on Transgenderism
Via PJ Media
n the early hours of Sunday morning, an expert Ph.D. psychologist who helped write the official psychological position on transgender identity was blocked on Twitter for expressing his opinion informed by clinical experience. His well-reasoned position was flagged for “hateful conduct.”
On Saturday, Ray Blanchard — the Ph.D. psychologist and adjunct professor at the University of Toronto who served on the working group for gender dysphoria (the persistent condition of identifying with the gender opposite your biological sex) for the DSM V, the gold standard of definitions helping psychologists diagnose disorders for patients — tweeted out his clinically-informed opinion on transgender identity.
He still affirmed the controversial idea that sex-change surgery is the “best treatment” for “carefully screened, adult patients, whose gender dysphoria has proven resistant to other forms of treatment,” but he opposed “treating” children who may change their minds. (Even this position is debatable, as people who have undergone sex-change surgery after persistent gender dysphoria have later rejected their transgender identity and lamented the mutilation of their bodies.)

College students turn to THERAPY DONKEYS to help them de-stress
Via Campus Reform
The State University of New York-Plattsburgh offered students the chance to de-stress with therapy donkeys, just ahead of finals.
“Today until 3 there will be a Wellness Fair at Macomb Hall! Behind the building you can find therapy donkeys,” the school’s admissions office said in a May 1 tweet, which was accompanied by photos of students petting and interacting with the animals.
“Destress with donkeys day! We had donkeys on campus today to help have some fun right before finals!” another tweet from the event read.
