White Privilege? Sleepy Joe Opens Huge Lead In ‘Diverse’ Democrat Party

White privilege is alive and well in the Democratic party…

For all of their posturing and wailing about diversity, the Democratic party establishment has made the decision that their ideal 2020 presidential candidate will be another old white guy.

Former Vice President Joe Biden may have taken a bit of time to formally enter the race for the White House but when he did wedge himself into the packed clown car, he was greeted by the wall-to-wall praise from a media that is already sizing him up for the crown.

Sleepy Joe is absolutely killing it in polls and is flogging fading socialist Bernie Sanders who is his closest competitor and who despite the party’s identity-obsessed base is also white.

In fact, according to a new poll, five of the top six contenders also have that same thing in common with the one exception being Kamala Harris who recently suggested that the geriatric Biden would be a good running mate when she wins the nomination.

The poll by The Hill/Harris X has Biden clobbering Sanders 33-14 with Pocahontas, Beto and Mayor Pete bringing up the rear – no other candidates with the exception of Harris are above a measly one percent.

Via The Hill, “Biden retains large lead over Sanders, other 2020 Dems in new Hill-HarrisX poll”:

Former Vice President Joe Biden continues to lead an ever-growing pack of Democratic White House hopefuls, according to a Hill-HarrisX poll released Wednesday.

The May 17-18 survey found Biden was the preferred pick to become president of 33 percent of registered voters who identified as Democrats or as independents who leaned toward the party.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) was the choice of 14 percent of respondents. Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren was named by 8 percent followed by mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) both with 6 percent. Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke was backed by 5 percent of respondents.

None of the other candidates received more than 1 percent support. Several aspirants were not named by any participant.

In more bad news for the rest of the field, another poll – from Quinnipiac University – shows that Biden is the only Democrat with a “positive” score.

According to Quinnipiac:

Democratic Candidates

With a 49 – 39 percent favorability rating, former Vice President Joseph Biden is the only presidential contender, Democrat or Republican, with a clear positive score. Favorability ratings for other Democrats are negative or mixed:

  • 41 – 48 percent for Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont;
  • 32 – 41 percent for Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts;
  • 27 percent favorable for Sen. Kamala Harris of California, with 30 percent unfavorable;
  • 20 – 32 percent for former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas;
  • 23 – 31 percent for Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey;
  • 23 percent favorable for South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, to 19 percent unfavorable;
  • 8 – 45 percent for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

For the other Democratic contenders, the score for those who haven’t heard enough about them to form an opinion ranges from 56 percent to 88 percent.

Biden is the top pick for the party nomination among 35 percent of Democrats or voters leaning Democratic. Sanders has 16 percent, with 13 percent for Warren, 8 percent for Harris and 5 percent for Buttigieg. No other Democrat tops 3 percent, with most less than 1 percent.

The ex-veep may be the king shit of turd mountain now (chalk it up to white privilege?) but don’t expect the social justice fanatics and millennial socialists to just go away after making significant gains and gaining a serious foothold in the party.

There remains the very real possibility of a revolt against Biden who isn’t going to be accepted no matter how much he panders or apologizes for his skin color and such a rejection could be cataclysmic for the party of diversity that at the end of the day, really isn’t that diverse after all when it comes to the upper echelon.

As the classic rock group The Who immortalized in song: meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

For now, the Dems are ridin’ with Biden but it’s a helluva long way to the finish line on a road fraught with peril.
