McConnell: Impeachment Will Die A Quick Death In The Senate

House Democrats are intensifying their demands for impeachment hearings but despite their self-destructive dog and pony show, there is zero chance that President Trump will be removed from office.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just made it clear that if Nadler, Schiff, Waters and the Congressional Black Caucus do go through with what could be a death blow to their 2020 hopes, that it would be quickly snuffed out in the Senate where Republicans hold a majority and the requirement of two-thirds is an impossible dream for the dead-enders.

Desperate to keep their great Russia conspiracy theory alive, the howling moonbats led by the likes of Rep. Rashida Tlaib and socialist Twitter diva Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have been turning up the heat on poor befuddled Nancy Pelosi and once Congress returns from their latest paid vacation, it is expected that she will no longer be able to restrain the vengeful lynch mob.

McConnell along with Republican Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham both went on record against what would be a futile and stupid gesture by House Dems.

GOP senators say that if the House passes articles of impeachment against President Trump they will quickly quash them in the Senate, where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has broad authority to set the parameters of a trial.

While McConnell is required to act on articles of impeachment, which require 67 votes — or a two-thirds majority — to convict the president, he and his Republican colleagues have the power to set the rules and ensure the briefest of trials.

“I think it would be disposed of very quickly,” said Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

“If it’s based on the Mueller report, or anything like that, it would be quickly disposed of,” he added.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), an adviser to McConnell’s leadership team, said “nothing” would come of impeachment articles passed by the House.

Given the Senate GOP firewall, Cornyn, who’s also a member of the Judiciary Committee, said he doubts that Democrats will commence the impeachment process.

“It would be defeated. That’s why all they want to do is talk about it,” he said. “They know what the outcome would be.”

Graham went so far as to suggest that the young revolutionaries are sharpening their knives for the embattled 79-year-old Speaker and that the unhinged socialist base will move to topple her if she doesn’t heed demands to embark on what would be a suicide mission.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) said Sunday that Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) job is at risk.

“Her job is very much at risk,” Graham, a staunch defender of President Trump, said on “Fox News Sunday.” “Nancy Pelosi is riding a bucking, wild bronco called the Democratic caucus.”

“Seventy percent of the Democratic base wants President Trump impeached. She knows that impeachment would be political suicide because there’s no reason to impeach the president. So she’s trying to keep the party intact. If she goes down the impeachment road, Republicans take back the House, we keep the Senate, President Trump gets reelected.”

The pressure on Pelosi is going to be enormous after McConnell’s statement and deranged celebs like the D-list actor and appropriately named Jon Cryer

Also, look for President Trump to continue to needle Pelosi to further infuriate the mob that may soon accuse her of working for Putin as well.
