Electoral College Shenanigans

By Ben Garrison

More Democrats are calling for the abolition of the Electoral College in favor of electing presidents directly from the country’s popular vote.

After all, Hillary Clinton garnered more popular votes than Trump, therefore they think she should have been president.

They’re wrong.

The Electoral College is one of those checks and balances that helps keep our Republic healthy. We are the United States and states and the citizens residing within them should have some power and control over their own fate.

We saw how those who controlled the Democrat Party rigged primaries in favor of Hillary. She basically bought out a party that was financially struggling. They did as they were told. Hillary loves to rig things in her favor either by extortion, bribery, or even murder. She got debate answers in advance. She had total control of corporate media. She had billions of dollars to buy her election.

Those who voted for Bernie Sanders were marginalized—their votes didn’t count for much. ‘Super delegates’ within Hillary’s power structure rigged the vote in her favor. Bernie Sanders meekly paid obeisance to Hillary and he was rewarded with a half million-dollar beachfront summer home. There were many who were rightfully outraged by the primary thefts and after Hillary lost to Trump it forced their party to make changes. The Super Delegates currently don’t have as much power and sway, but that could easily change should Hillary decide to run once again.

The Democrats won’t stop at the Electoral College.

They’re angry that small states have two senators—the same as very populous blue states. Why should North Dakota have two senators when they have a very small population? California has many times the people—shouldn’t they have more senators than just a measly two? Bill Maher has questioned this sort of thing repeatedly, along with the need to eliminate the Electoral College. It’s now become another steady drumbeat among Democrats. After all, they know big cities will generally cast ballots for Democrats. Big city folk tend to learn toward the left and socialism. A lot of peer pressure and political correctness in big cities help keep everyone in line and on the same page. It’s easier to sway them with propaganda. It’s easier to rig elections there with the help of illegal voting.

If the big blue cities get their way, their candidate for president will always win. The flyover red states will become irrelevant. The presidents elected by big blue cities will help bring about the death of our Republic. The big city progressives will make sure that tent cities, drug addiction, and government addiction are spread throughout what’s left of the country.

To protect our Republic, we need to keep the Electoral College system intact. It’s a pillar that protects us from ‘Democracy,’ and socialism, which always ends in tyranny.

Mueller Just Proved His Entire Operation Was A Political Hit Job That Trampled The Rule Of Law

Via The Federalist

If there were any doubts about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s political intentions, his unprecedented press conference on Wednesday should put them all to rest. As he made abundantly clear during his doddering reading of a prepared statement that repeatedly contradicted itself, Mueller had no interest in the equal application of the rule of law. He gave the game, and his nakedly political intentions, away repeatedly throughout his statement.

“It is important that the office’s written work speak for itself,” Mueller said, referring to his office’s 448-page report. Mueller’s report was released to the public by Attorney General William Barr nearly six weeks ago. The entire report, minus limited redactions required by law, has been publicly available, pored through, and dissected. Its contents have been discussed ad nauseum in print and on television. The report has been speaking for itself since April 18, when it was released.

If it’s important for the work to speak for itself, then why did Mueller schedule a press conference in which he would speak for it weeks after it was released? The statement, given the venue in which it was provided, is self-refuting.

Technotyranny: The Iron-Fisted Authoritarianism of the Surveillance State

By John W. Whitehead

Look around you. Everywhere you turn, people are so addicted to their internet-connected screen devices—smart phones, tablets, computers, televisions—that they can go for hours at a time submerged in a virtual world where human interaction is filtered through the medium of technology.

This is not freedom.

This is not even progress.

This is technological tyranny and iron-fisted control delivered by way of the surveillance state, corporate giants such as Google and Facebook, and government spy agencies such as the National Security Agency.

We are living in a virtual world carefully crafted to resemble a representative government, while in reality we are little more than slaves in thrall to an authoritarian regime, with its constant surveillance, manufactured media spectacles, secret courts, inverted justice, and violent repression of dissent.

So consumed are we with availing ourselves of all the latest technologies that we have spared barely a thought for the ramifications of our heedless, headlong stumble towards a world in which our abject reliance on internet-connected gadgets and gizmos is grooming us for a future in which freedom is an illusion.

It’s not just freedom that hangs in the balance. Humanity itself is on the line.

Indeed, while most people are busily taking selfies, Google has been busily partnering with the NSA, the Pentagon, and other governmental agencies to develop a new “human” species.

Essentially, Google—a neural network that approximates a global brain—is fusing with the human mind in a phenomenon that is called “singularity.” Google will know the answer to your question before you have asked it, said transhumanist scientist Ray Kurzweil. “It will have read every email you will ever have written, every document, every idle thought you’ve ever tapped into a search-engine box. It will know you better than your intimate partner does. Better, perhaps, than even yourself.”

Jussie Smollett just a symptom of the fake outrage disease

Via The New York Post

Remember folk expressions about the wisdom of being careful? “Look before you leap.” “Measure twice, cut once.” “Don’t go off half-cocked.” All of this should go double for online culture. Instead lives are being destroyed over misleading, unfair or just plain false accusations.

People are being turned into public enemies or even fired after being framed for racism, homophobia or other perceived social crimes. Others are casting themselves as victims of hate in order to line their pockets. These days anyone with a phone in his hand can be P.T. Barnum. And people who congratulate themselves for being unusually tolerant, kind-hearted and impervious to misinformation are the leaders of frenzied online mobs who are pitchforking innocent people.

Fake news is bad enough. Fake outrage is even worse.

Consider Dominique Moran, a 23-year-old Mexican American former Chipotle worker. When some knuckleheads who had previously done a dine-and-dash at her store came in, she told them they’d have to pay in advance. The young men, who were black, filmed the interaction on their smartphones and posted part of it, framing the matter as an instance of racism. The video was watched more than 7 million times. Mainstream media picked up on the story. Strangers vilified Moran on social media, calling her “racist bitch” and “dumb whore.”

How an internet mob falsely painted a Chipotle employee as racist

Via CNN

Just about every week we see the same story. Someone takes a jittery smartphone video of a white person caught in the act of doing something that’s labeled racist. An army of online commentators mobilizes. The video goes viral. And the person in the video is publicly shamed, often losing a job or being ostracized by the community. His or her name becomes a hashtag for hate.
The circulation of these racist outrage videos is so common that they’ve become the online version of background noise. The social scientist Eugenia Siapera says they often trigger “ambient digital racism” — racially toxic online posts from ordinary people that are so commonplace they no longer shock.
Yet there is another part of this story that is rarely told because it is not as common. What happens when you are falsely accused of being a racist in a video? How does your life change after you’ve become a racist meme? How do you handle your own outrage?
For the last six months, Moran has been trying to answer those questions. She was dubbed online as the “racist bitch.” The video of her November confrontation was watched at least 7 million times and re-tweeted at least 30,000 times within two days. The incident was covered by media organizations such as ABC News and Fox News.
