A city employee opened fire in a Virginia Beach municipal center, killing 12 and injuring 4 more. Liberals love a tragedy like this to exploit the victims to push their unconstitutional gun control agenda, but this one has a few problems for them. The shooter was black and he used 2 legally-owned handguns. The left prefers if these kind of things are perpetrated by white men using AR-15’s so how will they deal with the narrative-busting facts? Actually, that’s an easy question to answer: they will blame the NRA.
40-year-old DeWayne Craddock was a longtime public utility worker for the city of Virginia Beach, VA. He also served in the Virginia National Guard as a cannon crew member. On Friday he walked into a city municipal building with a pair of .45 caliber handguns and systematically shot his coworkers, killing them on 3 floors of the building. When police arrived, he engaged them in a lengthy gun battle before being killed by officers.
Fox News reports that the two handguns Craddock used in the massacre were legally purchased: one in 2016 and another in 2018. Police found 2 other weapons at his residence. Craddock does not appear to have any kind of a criminal record as evidenced by the fact that he was able to legally purchase firearms.
By all accounts of people who knew him, he was a nice guy that gave no warning signs he was capable of doing something this horrific. Police haven’t zeroed in on a motive, but they did say that Craddock hadn’t been fired from his job so he wasn’t disgruntled and on a rampage of revenge.
This guy just snapped and there isn’t a law that could have prevented this shooting. He was a law-abiding friendly person who legally purchased his firearms. Despite this, democrats came out in droves to use the tragedy to call for more gun control laws that wouldn’t have stopped it:

Okay, I’ll bite. How would these democrats propose stopping a mass shooting committed by a law-abiding person using legally-purchased firearms? I think we all know the answer to that and it involves repealing the 2nd Amendment and confiscating all firearms in civilian hands.

Well no, the NRA doesn’t write our country’s gun laws. Our Founding Fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment and all subsequent gun laws have been penned by anti-gun democrats.
I couldn’t help but to notice that most major media outlets are not running Craddock’s picture and the reason for that is clearly his skin color. They are invested in a narrative that says white right-wing men using AR-15’s are the ones who commit mass shootings. A black guy with handguns doesn’t support the idea that white men are terrorists or that this country needs to ban semi-automatic rifles.
