It’s AOC’s world now, everyone else just lives in it…
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is continuing to stall on the commencement of the impeachment tribunal against President Trump but she is fighting a losing battle against a fanatical and determined opposition.
The embattled Democrat may be a calculating politician who understands that impeaching Trump will not only inevitably fail in the GOP-controlled Senate but also have catastrophic consequences for her own party in next November’s election where gains in the House could be lost if swing voters are turned off by the lynch mob mentality of the so-called resistance.
Pelosi has miraculously managed to beat back the bloodthirsty hordes but with her control slipping thanks to the rise of young extremists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib and the unbridled resentment of the Congressional Black Caucus that Barack Obama was limited to only two terms, her desire to prevent impeachment is futile.
This week, Robert Mueller formally came out of the closet as one of the impeachment conspirators and his unannounced Wednesday speech to the media turbocharged the radicals who have been ready to string Trump up since the results of the 2016 election were announced.
Pelosi is clearly dithering and hoping that the mob mentality subsides and during an address before an angry and vengeful crowd at the California Democratic Party Convention during which she was jeered by hostile elements of her own party, Pelosi dodged by promising that the festivities would begin but only after Democrats had an “ironclad” case against Trump.

Via The Hill, “Pelosi promises ‘ironclad case’ against Trump”:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told California Democrats that Congress would continue aggressive investigations into President Trump and the Trump administration, stopping short of calling for the beginning of an impeachment inquiry.
Addressing the California Democratic Party’s annual convention in her home district, Pelosi cited former special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential
election.“In his report, special counsel Mueller warned us in the starkest terms that there was an attack on our election and an attack on our democracy,” Pelosi said. “Why won’t the president defend us from this attack?”
“What is the president covering up?” she asked. “We must investigate the president’s welcoming of the assault on our democracy.
A single protester shouting “Impeach!” soon became a few, then a few dozen and then perhaps a hundred as Pelosi seemed to hint at a future inquiry.
“This isn’t about politics, it isn’t about partisanship, Democrats versus Republicans, no. It’s about patriotism, it’s about the sanctity of the constitution and it’s about the future of our nation. We will go where the facts lead us. We will insist on the truth. We will build an ironclad case to act,” Pelosi said.
That “ironclad” case will be made by the purveyors of hate in the media, the same ones who have spent over two years promoting blatant lies and conspiracy theories that Trump was in cahoots with the Kremlin – something that even Saint Bob Mueller himself failed to validate in his heralded report.
Top CBC Democrat James Clyburn (D-SC) tipped off the coordinated propaganda campaign that is about to be unleashed when he went on CNN’s “State Of The Union” on Sunday with Jake Tapper and vowed that impeachment is coming but only after the American people have been “educated” – a harrowing reference to any who have begun to see eerie similarities between today’s Democrats and Joseph Stalin’s regime during the darkest days of the old Soviet Union.

Via CNN:
A senior member of Democratic leadership suggested Sunday that the House will eventually begin formal impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump after building public support.
“We think that we have to bring the public along,” House Majority Whip James Clyburn said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
He continued, “We aren’t particularly interested in the Senate. We do believe that if we sufficiently, effectively educate the public, then we will have done our jobs, and we can move on an impeachment vote and it will stand, and maybe it will be what needs to be done to incent the Senate to act.”

Tapper failed to ask Rep. Clyburn about his dubious history including a recent defense of the anti-Semitism of Ilhan Omar as well as a relationship with ferociously racist hatemonger Louis Farrakhan, a vile demagogue who he has repeatedly failed to denounce.
Pelosi has no better chance of holding off the impeachment mob than King Canute did of controlling the tides.
