Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a whopping moron, but usually her stupidity only hurts her. Now her stunning ignorance is racking up collateral damage. She thought she was taking a shot at Republicans about birth control, but her aim was so bad she ended up putting a slug right between Planned Parenthood’s eyes. The sad thing is, if she had spent 1 second doin Google search, she wouldn’t have continued to support the popular belief that she’s an idiot.

OMG! Those Republicans are so anti-women that they oppose making birth control an over-the-counter medication. Oh, wait a second, that’s not remotely true. In fact, Republicans proposed making birth control OTC. Check this out:

And Planned Parenthood really hated this idea as Forbes pointed out:

For an organization that claims to be dedicated to reproductive health and access to such services, this stance on the deregulation of common, safe, and effective contraceptives seems illogical. Now get ready for this, PP opposes making birth control OTC because it would cut into their profits:
Planned Parenthood’s stance on expanding access to birth control may be illogical in light of their mission statement, but it is perfectly logical when you consider the group’s financial interests. Planned Parenthood rakes in $1.2 billion annually; more than a third of their services involve providing contraception to women (and billing third parties for those costs). As a major provider of birth control and the nation’s number one abortion provider, why would Planned Parenthood support other options for women? The group is simply serving its own self-interest, trying to hang on to the status quo that leads to big business and big dollars for them. Who’s working against women now?
So while AOC is implying that Republicans are blocking birth control from being available over the counter, it’s her own stupid party and their benefactor Planned Parenthood that are behind it all.
Because this is AOC, this actually gets dumber. She of course thinks that free health care is a constitutional right, which means she obviously believes everyone should get free broth control. In fact:

Health insurance and socialized medicine covers prescription medication, but not OTC stuff. If birth control were made OTC, as she wants, people would have to pay for it themselves. I bet when she realizes that, she’s gonna feel like a dumbass.
I’m kidding. If AOC realized that things she says are stupid, she wouldn’t be AOC. My guess is she’s going to accuse anyone who points this out of sexism and racism. She’ll say we are all scared of a strong woman of color and that’s why we’re bringing up the fact that she’s completely full of shit.
