The News Thinks 8 Anti-Gun Kooks Equals Hundreds Of Activists

For every academic discipline there is, the liberals have their own version. Liberal Science says global warming makes cold weather in the winter. Liberal Biology says if a man puts on a dress he is suddenly a woman. Liberal Logic says killing babies saves lives. Liberal Math can turn 8 into 100 without adding anything. At a sparsely attended Moms Demand Action event, the news reported that a handful of anti-gun kooks was actually hundreds strong. This is also part of Liberal Journalism which bends the truth to suit the narrative.

This is a very real headline from News 12 in New York: Hundreds attend Wear Orange event demanding gun control legislation

At the beginning of the segment the reporter doubles down on this claim:

“A sea of orange here at…Mount Vernon, community members and local organizations have come together to bring awareness to gun violence,” said the reporter.

After being promised hundreds of anti-gun activists forming a sea of orange, this is the bets shot the news got of this “massive” protest:

This is the shot that had the most people in it and when it was shown, the reporter said it was “the entire group.”

By my count, there are 8 people wearing orange Moms Demand Action shirts and a few other people taking pictures, presumably from the press. Throughout the segment there are other shots of these same people in slightly different locations, but there is never more than 5 of them in frame together.

How does 8 people equal “hundreds” of anti-gun activists? This isn’t even dozens of people wearing orange. There is no plural number to describe this few except for maybe singles. If the the news had said “singles of people wore orange” that would have been correct, though weird sounding.

If there were hundreds, you’d think the news could have got a shot with more than 8 people in in it. If they had shown maybe 50 or so people in Moms Demand Action shirts, I would have let it go and wouldn’t even be writing this article, but this ridiculous.

Just as silly, they interviewed two of these activists and one couldn’t even be bothered to put on the orange MDA shirt.

“I just wish that people would stop selling them altogether,” said Mary Oates of guns. “I really don’t know what to say about it because guns do kill and guns don’t know one person from another. Once the bullet leaves the chamber, it can hit anyone.”

I have this theory that the news seeks out the dumbest person they can find to interview for any story and this doesn’t change my opinion.

Having interviewed the dumbest person there, the news then sought out the second dumbest in the news line of succession.

“100 Americans die a day from gun violence. It’s ridiculous and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t have laws that make people safe,” said Katherine Schowalter.

This goofy broad’s statistics are BS, but if we apply Liberal Math to it, things don’t sound too bad. If 8 people equals “hundreds” then 100 equals about 4. Only 4 people dying from gun violence, whatever that is, every day isn’t nearly as alarming as the fake stat this woman was using. Being full of shit like a liberal is fun.

I bet 4 people die every day from turtle-related injuries and you don’t hear about anyone trying to ban turtles. If President Trump had a pet turtle they would say it was a symbol of white supremacy and demand “turtle control” but since that ain’t the case, libs are fine with them.

The big question here is: how is 8 people doing anything news-worthy? The answer is because it was 8 people who oppose the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms, which is an agenda shared by the liberal news. If it were actually hundreds of people at a pro-gun rights rally, the news wouldn’t even cover it.

If the news wonders why people don’t trust them, this is a really good example. Don’t promise a “sea of orange” and then show a bubble of piss in the corner.
