Continuing his journey from the “new JFK” to the punchline of jokes, quirky Democrat Robert Francis O’Rourke is pandering like a man possessed to bolster his cratering poll numbers.
Showing that six months is an eternity in politics, O’Rourke who goes by the nickname of Beto was being talked about by an adoring but fickle press as having a serious shot at winning the White House but after a narrow loss to incumbent Senator Ted Cruz the Texan has struggled mightily and according to a recent poll, is at a dismal 5 percent.
Hollywood loved Beto too but following a nightmarish launch of his campaign which led to him issuing an apology for being white, the quirky former U.S. Representative is dangerously close to Amy Klobuchar territory which would be doom for his presidential aspirations.
With the first debate rapidly approaching and O’Rourke being relegated to the night that will feature Elizabeth Warren and nine schmucks with no hope, Beto is frantically looking to stay alive and in a party that has become openly hostile to white males, he has chosen to champion reparations as the hill that he is prepared to die on.

Via The Associated Press, “O’Rourke: White Americans don’t know full story of slavery”:
O’Rourke, addressing questions on topics including health care, housing affordability and education, acknowledged what he identified as his own struggle with not knowing enough about the history of slavery in the United States and its ongoing ramifications.
“White Americans do not know this story,” O’Rourke said, noting that until a tour of the church’s grounds, he hadn’t known anti-slavery activist Harriet Tubman had lived in the area.

On Friday, asked if he supported reparations, O’Rourke said that he did, though he still supports the creation of a commission to further study the issue and how to ameliorate it.
“The answer is yes. We must repair this country from its very founding, kidnapping peoples from West Africa, bringing them here in bondage to literally build the wealth of the United States,” he said. “The path there, though, has to come through learning and telling this American story with everyone. Then, I think, we define what reparations look like.”
The idea of stealing money from white people who never owned slaves to give it to black people who never were slaves may sell well with the rabid SJW base but such racially offensive socialist slop isn’t going to go over well with swing voters and moderates – let alone blacks who can see through this baloney – come next November. Yet the Democrats keep pushing the idea.
Beto then shifted into full-blown hysteria mode in a speech to black leaders in South Carolina with a call that blacks needed to be protected from their own country – sheesh!

According to the Washington Examiner:
Appearing before a gathering of 10 black community leaders and activists at Park Circle Creamery, the 2020 presidential candidate addressed the lack of trust in the law enforcement community that has arisen from incidents of police brutality.
“I don’t know the right word to describe what we need to do as a country, but it’s not just leveling the playing field. It is protecting people from their country and those who hold positions of trust, including in law enforcement right now,” the former Texas congressman told the group. “And it’s protecting from a criminal justice system, it’s protecting from a kindergarten classroom, it’s also protecting from who’s polluting the air that we breathe and the water we drink,” he said, making an apparent reference to the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
O’Rourke previously shamed himself when he appeared at Al Sharpton’s big shindig back in April and along with his fellow Democrats, groveled for the veteran race-baiter’s approval.

It was a sickening spectacle and should have been worth more than a measly five percent, barely nosing out Cory Booker but that’s where he currently sits and should be handily scalped by Pocahontas in Miami.
Try as he may to appeal to the critical demographic they aren’t likely to be impressed because Beto O’Rourke is literally the poster boy for white privilege.
