On Wednesday, the idea of reparations got a big boost from House Democrats who held hearings on whether money should be forcibly confiscated from white people who never owned slaves to give it to blacks who were never in such bondage.
In celebration of Juneteenth, a grotesque spectacle that has somehow managed to cheapen Congress even more than it already is unfolded as Dems trotted out a parade of special guests to make the case for their racially-charged socialist scam.
Danny Glover speaks at hearing on reparations: "A national reparations policy is a moral, democratic, and economic imperative. I sit here as the great grandson of a former slave." https://t.co/HdrdtKHhlN pic.twitter.com/XDkNPAieKt

On the list of were fading actor Danny Glover who used to be something back when he co-starred with Mel Gibson in those Lethal Weapon movies and Senator Cory Booker, an unhinged kook who has a two-track mind – race, and homosexuality.
.@CoryBooker, who is running for President, says at a house hearing on reparations:
"We, as a nation, have not yet truly acknowledged and grappled with racism and white supremacy that's tainted this country's founding."

It was sickening to watch unfold:
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee at the reparations hearing: "I'm a product of my history. I am clearly a child that has walked this path—No, I did not pick cotton, but I will say that those who picked cotton created the very basic wealth of this nation. For cotton was king."

Ta-Nehisi Coates: "The real dilemma posed by reparations is just that. A dilemma of inheritance. It is impossible to imagine America without the inheritance of slavery." https://t.co/pHgbVLYHz0 pic.twitter.com/MpcV3ZsUOu

Via The Hill, “House hearing marks historic moment for slavery reparations debate”:
House Democrats on Wednesday will breathe new life into the debate over slavery reparations with a historic hearing on Capitol Hill.
The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties will bring in big names like actor Danny Glover and author Ta-Nehisi Coates to generate media buzz around an issue that has languished in Congress for generations.
The hearing follows a bill from Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) that would form a national commission to study whether descendants of slaves should receive reparations.
While the bill has been backed by Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), as well as the Democrats’ liberal base, it’s unclear where the legislation goes from here.
The only highlight was when former NFL player Burgess Owens temporarily turned the tables on the inquisitors:
Burgess Owens: “I used to be a Democrat until I did my history and found out the misery that that party brought to my race … slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, killed over 40 percent of our black babies, 20 million of them. How about [Democrats] pay for all the misery brought to my race?” pic.twitter.com/PDUCR89zx5

A taste of what Democrats can expect with their shakedown…
Mark Levin: ‘I Don’t Intend to Pay One Damn Penny in Reparations to Anybody, Period’ https://t.co/wRFEna24rQ via @BreitbartNews

Conservative radio host Mark Levin has come up with a figure on what he is willing to pay in reparations:
“This whole thing about reparations is a scam,” he said. “It’s just another way for billions and billions of dollars to be directed by the left to people who haven’t earned it. I really don’t know of any ethnic group or racial group – if you go way, way back that hasn’t faced incredible hardships. Look at the Jews and the slavery that took place, and the genocide that took place. And you can pick virtually any group. But slavery is particularly pernicious, and it was in this country. In fact, it was so pernicious that half of this country rose up to smite it. Many, many families sent their fathers, their husbands, their grandfathers to war during the Civil War. They never came back. Over 700,000 casualties. The worst war in American history in terms of casualties – one battle after another. This country has paid a deep price for slavery. The slaves and their families paid a horrible price in order to end it. What took place – many, many people paid a horrible price. But the Democrat Party keeps pushing this.
“What else do they have? Racism, socialism, open borders – do they have anything positive? Do they have anything that truly points to the future?
I don’t intend to pay one damn penny in reparations to anybody, period.”
So Deplorables, how much are you willing to cough up? Don’t hold back!
