Charlottesville, Virginia is where Thomas Jefferson’s home, Montecello, is located on Thomas Jefferson Drive. It is also home to the University of Virginia, founded by Thomas Jefferson. In their infinite (cowardly) wisdom the Charlottesville city council has decided the city will no longer celebrate Thomas Jefferson’s birthday. Instead, they will throw a slavery shindig of some sort because everything is stupid.
Sure, Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, was a Founding Father of this country, and is one of the greatest Americans ever, but he owned slaves, so the Charlottesville city council said, “f*ck him.”

Charlottesville, Virginia, will no longer celebrate Thomas Jefferson’s birthday as an official city holiday and instead will observe a day recognizing the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans.
The city council voted Monday night to scrap the decades-old April 13 holiday honoring the slave-holding president and Founding Father. Charlottesville will now mark Liberation and Freedom Day on March 3, the day U.S. Army forces arrived in the city in 1865.
Without slaves the price of agricultural goods would have been slightly higher. Without Thomas Jefferson the United States wouldn’t exist. Yeah, this makes perfect sense, Clearly slaves were way more important to the founding of this awesome country. Not.
I have a better idea: How about all of the liberal bitches who voted for this and anyone else in town that shares in this liberal bitchiness, move to San Francisco and leave Thomas Jefferson’s legacy alone. If these people hate the guy who founded America, they hate American and should move out. Yes, I don’t consider SF part of America.
This is yet another attempt by anti-American liberals to rewrite and erase American history. It’s just a matter of time before they get the Jefferson Memorial in D.C. leveled and then they’ll go after George Washington.
By the time these assholes are done, Harriet Tubman will have written the Declaration of Independence, Malcolm X will have made the Louisiana Purchase, and Al Sharpton will be one of the drafters of the Constitution.
When does it stop? The problem is with liberals, it never stops. Nothing is ever enough with them. If they pass a gun control law, that just means they are going to pass more gun control laws. If they can get a historical statue removed, they will keep going until all of American history is eliminated.
Big picture-wise, this is part of the on-going liberal effort to destroy our country. Taking out our history is just part of the plan. They want to erase our borders to obliterate our sovereignty. They want to flood our country with non-English speakers to dilute our culture. They want to wipe out our history to incinerate our heritage.
Charlottesville ditching Jefferson’s birthday may seem like a small thing but it’s a slippery slope. If we don’t start standing up against this crap it’s never going to end. Liberals are not shy about their endgame to destroy this country and we cannot let them have even minor victories in this ideological war.
