The memo obviously went out instructing democrats to accuse all Trump supporters of racism. Beto O’Rourke did his part earlier in the week and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fulfilled her contractual obligations by doing the same. Because she is insanely stupid however, she did it in a very AOC kind of way saying that all Trump supporters are racist, they just don’t know they are racist. She’s probably the last person to be lecturing others on what they don’t know.
AOC was on former Obama Bro Jon Favreau’s podcast and naturally the topic of the day was Trump’s racism. Favreau was simply trying to get a soundbite of AOC saying Trump supporters are racist, but he should have know better since getting a straight answer from a democrat is like trying to get a truthful answer from a democrat:
“Are Trump voters racist?” asked Favreau.
“The biggest mistake that we have, and it’s a trap that gets set by the right…is just the frame of asking ‘is blank racist?’ That is something we have to pull ourselves out of,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Boy, she sure has the right figured out, doesn’t she? All we do is set traps for liberals by asking if things are racist. Oh wait, no we don’t. It’s the left that goes f*cking crazy calling everything racist.
In any case, here’s AOC’s non-solution to a made-up problem:
“It’s not about asking whether Trump voters are racist. We need to talk about racism, not racists. Racists, it’s a very two-dimensional, boring conversation. Is something racist? Yes or no, and then you debate it. We need to talk about racism, its contours, its history, where it manifests, how it’s used,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
I’m guessing that as a democrat, AOC doesn’t actually want to talk about the history of racism in this country since it’s kind of a sore subject for the party of Slavery, Jim Crow, and the KKK.
Eventually AOC got around to answering if Trump supporters are racist and (Spoiler Alert) she thinks they are:
“Trump relied on a coalition and a core part of that coalition were racists building a coalition with all sorts of other people that could be susceptible to racists views if they were blanketed and layered and made people feel good about it not being a racist thing,” she said.
Hang on, she’s not quite done.
“And so there are a lot of people who support that genuinely don’t believe that they are racist because we do not talk about or educate people on recognizing racism and because we do not do that, it just allows itself to just get caught up in this debate of ‘Is something racist? And then a person uses their defensiveness and they say, ‘Well it’s not racist because I’m not racist and I believe in this thing because it’s economic in nature,'” finished Ocasio-Cortez.
There you have it: all Trump supporters are racist, they just don’t know it because AOC hasn’t had a chance to let them know. Maybe she should teach a class at the adult learning annex: Recognizing Your Trump Support As Racism And Stuff.
AOC’s “all Trump voters are racist” claim comes on the heels of similar statements from 2020 presidential candidates Beto O’Rourke and Joe Biden. Clearly the liberal overlords want this to be their message, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense. Hillary Clinton learned that calling half of America a bunch of racists doesn’t win their support, so why do democrats suddenly think it’s going to work in 2020?
