Back in the pre-TDS days a rodeo clown was fired for wearing an Obama mask. In the Age of Trump, pretending to assassinate the president generates money for a democrat’s reelection campaign. I guess this is what liberals mean when they talk about progress. Participants in an Illinois state senator’s fundraiser staged a mock assassination of President Trump, completely with Trump mask and Mexican Mariachi costume. Remember, this came from a democrat so there will be no outrage. Go about your business of being mad at the booming economy.
WCAI reports that state senator Martin Sandoval held a $250 a head fundraiser at an Illinois golf course. What did attendees get for their money? Well, presumably they got to play golf bu they were also treated to this:
Yes, this image is shocking but also a little confusing. Why is Trump dressed up like a Mariachi player and why would a Hispanic man assassinate “Mexican Trump?” Also, is that a banned “assault weapon” the assassin is holding? Those weapons of war have no place on our golf courses.
In this next shot you can see Sandoval (in the sea foam shirt) with his arm around the “Trump assassin,” but the state senator claims he didn’t know anything about the mock assassination.
Why didn’t Captain America save the President?
Because he’s a democrat, Sandoval gets to issue a fake apology for the fake assassination and nobody from the liberal media questions it.
“The incident that took place is unacceptable. I don’t condone violence toward the president or anyone else,” Sandoval said in a statement to the Chicago Sun-Times. “I apologize that something like this happened at my event.”
Does that mean he will be giving back the money he raised? Surely if he is this outraged over something that happened at his fundraiser he can’t, in good conscience, take money from the people who staged the assassination of President Trump.
The Chicago Sun-Times didn’t mention anything about Sandoval giving back the money so let’s assume he kept it.
It’s all good because democratic Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker accepted Sandoval’s apology and is ready to move on.
“I think it was important for me to speak out about it. It was important for Sen. Sandoval, as he did, to speak out about it. It’s inappropriate to point even a fake gun at any individual, especially at this moment. And I know that he feels the same as I do and that we need to call it out,” said Pritzker.
Oh, so it was the fake gun that was the problem, not the mock assassination of the President of the United States? Somehow I feel like if Obama was still president it wouldn’t be the fake gun causing the uproar. Also, if it were Obama there would be actual uproar.
The liberal media tells us that when President Trump directly quotes Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar, it is an act of racial violence that puts her life in danger. This same liberal media tells us that when a democratic fundraiser stages a Trump assassination that a mistake was made and everyone has learned and grown from it. Plus that we should use this incident to think about gun control.
