Hey, what do you know? Bernie Sanders causally uses the N-word. In a book he wrote back in the 1990’s he dropped several N-bombs, but it’s okay because he’s a leftist so it doesn’t count as actual racism. Now if he were a conservative, it wouldn’t matter what the context was, it would be racist as hell. Liberalism has its advantages.
Sanders wrote a book in 1997 called Outsider In The House that only one person from The Daily Caller has ever read. It’s a good thing too, because check out this passage:
For a hundred years, the white workers of the South were the most exploited white workers in America. They were paid the lowest wages, they endured the worst working conditions, their housing was abysmal, their kids went to the most backward schools, and very few could send their children to college. But what did they have? They were given “niggers” to hate and look down on, “niggers” who couldn’t vote, drink at their water fountains, use the same bathrooms, or sit up front in the buses or movie theaters.
See, I think Bernie figured if he put the the N-word in quotes it made it un-racist coming from a white guy.
The bizarre thing with this book is that he wrote it to accuse Republicans of being racist and then he uses the example of democrats segregating the South. His message was basically: Republicans are racist because of the racist actions of the entire democratic party. Don’t laugh, this is a legitimate liberal argument. Their terribleness proves other people are the real bad guys.
The Daily Caller asked Bernie’s campaign “what up with them N-words?” and got this response from campaign spokeswoman Briahna Gray:
“It should not need to be explained that critiquing racism is not racism, but let’s give it a try. Senator Sanders is describing the well-documented racism and hatred that was used to divide the working class against itself in this country for hundreds of years…he would not use the word outside of this context. His entire political career has been dedicated to building a multi-racial coalition of working people to finally overturn the bloody legacy of racial hatred in our country,” Gray said.
Okay, now do Trump. No seriously, what would be the response if someone found a passage in The Art of the Deal in which Donald Trump used the N-word in the exact same context? Obviously it would be much different than the shoulder shrugging in the liberal media over Bernie using the N-word. Hell, if Trump simply read the passage form Bernie’s book out loud, liberals would hit the roof and scream “white supremacist!”
Obviously it’s not the context of the N-word that matters but rather, who is delivering it. Liberal Bill Maher can drop N-bombs on his show and nobody bats an eye, but not-liberal Roseanne makes a slightly racist joke on Twitter and she is banished from Hollywood. Democratic governor Ralf Northam can moonwalk in blackface and keep his job but not-a-democrat Megyn Kelly used the word “blackface” and NBC kicked her to the curb.
I guarantee that if a Republican yelled at a baby to shut up and wrote a book using the N-word that person’s political career would be over. Bernie did these things and he’s one of the front runners for the democratic party nomination. Once again, racism is only something conservatives are capable of. Whatever liberals do is awesome because they are intellectually and morally superior to all other people, at least according to them.
It’s not shocking that liberals are racist or that they have a double-standard when it comes to racism, but what is kind of mind-blowing is that nobody read Bernie’s book until this week. Isn’t he supposed to be wealthy because he wrote some books? How is it that he’s a millionaire with 3 mansions from book sales and nobody has every actually read one of his books?
