One of those criminal illegals will be spending the next six years in federal prison after being busted with enough of the dangerous drug fentanyl to potentially kill half a million people.
On Monday, the Justice Department announced that 53-year-old Pablo Vega-Ontanon, a Mexican heroin trafficker who was arrested last November would be off the streets and behind bars where he belongs.
Vega-Otanon was living in Georgia before his ill-fated trip to Mississippi where he was popped after agreeing to sell heroin to a confidential informant. Tests on the drug were positive for fentanyl.

An illegal alien was sentenced to prison Monday for attempting to traffic enough fentanyl in the United States to kill hundreds of thousands of people.
Pablo Vega-Ontanon, a 53-year-old Mexican national living illegally in Georgia, was sentenced to 74 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release for his intent to distribute nine kilograms of heroin, according to a press release from the Justice Department.
Vega-Ontanon arrived in Gulfport, Mississippi, in November 2018 alongside two co-defendants. The three men attempted to sell heroin to a confidential informant, and said they had 10 kilograms of the drug inside a compartment in their car. Shortly after being arrested, the substance was tested and found to not only contain nine kilograms of heroin but also included one kilogram of fentanyl.
The amount of fentanyl was enough to produce 500,000 fatal doses, according to the Justice Department.

Law Enforcement Officers Seize Nine Kilos of Heroin, One Kilo of Fentanyl, from Defendant
Gulfport, Miss. – Pablo Vega-Ontanon, 53, an illegal alien from Mexico who was living in Georgia, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden to 74 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute heroin, announced U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst and Special Agent in Charge Jere T. Miles with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations in New Orleans.On November 6, 2018, Vega-Ontanon and two co-defendants arrived in Gulfport to sell heroin to a confidential informant. They claimed to have ten kilograms of heroin hidden in a compartment of their vehicle. All three were arrested shortly thereafter. The substance was eventually tested and found to contain nine kilograms of heroin and one kilogram of fentanyl.
One kilogram of fentanyl can produce half a million fatal doses.
Sad news for Democrats who have just lost one prospective voter in next year’s critical election but good news for law-abiding Americans who abhor the open borders policies promoted by the far-left socialist party.
