Oh Joe…
Former President Jimmy Carter has an idea that if put into place, could thin out the herd that is battling for the Democratic party’s 2020 nomination.
According to Carter who before Barack Obama was widely regarded as the worst president in U.S. history, the nation would be well-served if age restrictions were implemented for the office that he once occupied.
Carter has suggested that nobody above the age of 80 should serve as president which is not good news for either frontrunner Joe Biden or socialist cadaver Bernie Sanders.
During a Wednesday event at the Carter Center, the 39th POTUS cited his own limitations as a reason why he would be unable to perform the required duties if he were eighty years-old and strongly supported the age limit.

According to Carter:
“I hope there’s an age limit,” said Carter, who started his term as president at age 53 and is now 94. “You know, if I were just 80 years old — if I was 15 years younger, I don’t believe I could undertake the duties I experienced when I was president. For one thing, you had to be very flexible with your mind. You have to be able to go from one subject to another, concentrate on each one adequately and then put them all together in a very comprehensive way.”
He may turn 95 in two weeks but the ex-president is clearly more lucid than lunchbucket Joe whose gaffes, memory lapses and proclivity to tell wild stories about his battle with a black gang leader named Corn Pop back in his younger days have gone from “just Joe being Joe” to whispers that Biden is senile.
While at 76 the former vice president is a young whippersnapper compared to the elder statesman Carter but such remarks only serve to illuminate Biden’s rapidy-deteriorating mental condition.
In addition to his garbled syntax and campaign trail lethargy, Biden’s eye filled with blood during CNN’s recent marathon town hall on climate change and during the most recent Democrat debate in Houston, the old-timer struggled to keep his dentures from flying out of his piehole when answering a question.

Definitely not a good omen for Biden who is one nationally televised mega-gaffe away from being packed off to the glue factory.
Other than Biden, there is the 77-year-old Sanders who recently announced that he was taking some time off from the campaign trail and Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren who at 70 is a relative spring chicken compared to her two top opponents for the nomination.
Jimmy Carter’s call for an age limit on the presidency should be taken one step further with an age restriction placed on members of Congress and especially Democrats whose upper ranks are dominated by geriatrics who should have long ago retired.
The top Democrats in both the House and the Senate are chock full of septuagenarians and octogenarians including:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is 79 and her top lieutenant Steny Hoyer is 80; Senator Dianne Feinstein is 86, Senator Patrick Leahy is 79; foaming at the mouth moonbat Maxine Waters is 81; Congressional Black Caucus leader and House Majority Whip James Clyburn is 79 and a good-sized chunk of top Dems are either septugenarians or in their late 60s.
Carter is often maligned for everything from the economy to foreign policy to the Iran hostage crisis during his presidency but his enduring legacy could be starting the conversation on how old is too old.
