Pass the BBQ sauce…
In another of the epic grillings that have defined Congressman Matt Gaetz as an up and comer, the Florida Republican eviscerated the Reverend Al Sharpton over his long history of bigoted statements.
The exchange took place before another one of the ridiculous charades staged by the Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee, this one convened as a forum to attack the police.
When Democrats trotted out Sharpton as their star witness despite his record of anti-cop, anti-Semitic and anti-white sentiment they hardly could have expected that Gaetz would roast the race-baiting charlatan like a hog on a spit.
Nearly two months after Rep. Gaetz pummelled an overmatched and clearly senile Robert Mueller, he sprung the trap on the MSNBC host and in a masterul gambit, used the words of Sharpton’s co-worker “Morning” Joe Scarborough to do it.
The Dems’ big plans for this dog and pony show spectacularly backfired once Gaetz put reverend Al on the spot over his own words.

Via the transcript:
Congressman Gaetz: Have you ever referred to members of the Jewish faith as “white interlopers” or “diamond merchants”?
Mr. Sharpton: No sir I referred to one in Harlem, an individual.
Congressman Gaetz: Did you march next to a sign that said, “the white man is the devil”?
Mr. Sharpton: I have no recollection of that.
Congressman Gaetz: Have you ever referred to African Americans that disagreed with you as “cocktail-sip negros”?
Mr. Sharpton: I have.
Congressman Gaetz: Have you ever referred to African Americans who disagreed with you as “yellow,” and then the N-word?
Mr. Sharpton: I don’t know that I have…I’ve referred to people as names.
Congressman Gaetz: Have you ever referred to African Americans that disagreed with you as “negro militants”?
Mr. Sharpton: I don’t know, I don’t recall.
Judiciary Committee Democrats were caught so off guard by Gaetz’s blistering torment of the racial grievence pimp that they resembled ants who just had their hill stomped on.
Porcine Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler repeatedly stammered while seeming to not understand the rules as Congressional Black Caucus hysterics Hank Johnson and Sheila Jackson Lee both pleaded with the New Yorker to have Gaetz’s inquiry stricken from the record.
Via Fox News:
As the testy exchange continued, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., struggled to keep the hearing moving. With Gaetz and Sharpton clashing, Democratic members asked whether Nadler could shut down Gaetz’s off-topic line of questioning.
Nadler called Gaetz’s questioning “obnoxious” but told committee Dems that the hard-charging congressman had significant latitude under the rules.
Gaetz objected to Nadler’s use of the word “obnoxious” before defending his line of questioning as relevant to the hearing.
HERE is the longer version including the reactions from the flummoxed Democrats.
Judging by the “Fat Jerry” and the rest of his lamentable lynch mob on the Judiciary Committee, they may want to think twice about their plans to conduct nationally televised impeachment hearings.
As for Rep. Gaetz? He brings to mind the words of former President Harry Truman: “I never did give them hell. I just told the truth, and they thought it was hell.”
And the temperature will be turned up on Nadler and his minions thanks to Gaetz.
