HYPOCRISY! Senate Dems Wrote Letter To Ukraine Looking For Dirt On Trump

Democrats and their shills in the media have been screaming at the top of their lungs after President Trump’s call with the new president of Ukraine but it is just more of the same hypocrisy.

In a furious last-ditch effort to remove Trump from office so that they don’t have to face him in an election that they are doomed to lose, the radicalized party pulled the pin on the impeachment grenade and lobbed it into the laps of Americans.

According to jackleg liars, the likes of Adam Schiff and others even more odious than Hollywood’s congressional representative, Trump committed a crime by suggesting that Ukraine investigate the corrupt dealings of Joe Biden’s scoundrel of a son.

But it was many of the same Democrats who are howling the loudest who themselves sought to improperly influence the Ukranian government into not investigating the blatant collusion with Team Hillary and the DNC in the runup to the 2016 election.

Leading Senate Democrats led by Robert Menendez who recently beat federal corruption charges on a technicality wrote a letter last year containing implied threats if Ukraine didn’t play ball after special counsel Robert Mueller closed up shop on his witch hunt.

Citing a Washington Post piece by former Bush administration speechwriter Marc Thiessen, Breitbart News reports that “Democrats Wrote to Ukraine in May 2018, Demanding It Investigate Trump”:

Democrats wrote to the Ukrainian government in May 2018 urging it to continue investigations into President Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential campaign — collusion later found not to exist.

The demand, which came from U.S. Senators Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Patrick Leahy (D-VT), resurfaced Wednesday in an opinion piece written by conservative Marc Thiessen in the Washington Post.

Thiessen observed (original links):

It got almost no attention, but in May [2018], CNN reported that Sens. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) and Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) wrote a letter to Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Yuriy Lutsenko, expressing concern at the closing of four investigations they said were critical to the Mueller probe. In the letter, they implied that their support for U.S. assistance to Ukraine was at stake. Describing themselves as “strong advocates for a robust and close relationship with Ukraine,” the Democratic senators declared, “We have supported [the] capacity-building process and are disappointed that some in Kyiv appear to have cast aside these [democratic] principles to avoid the ire of President Trump,” before demanding Lutsenko “reverse course and halt any efforts to impede cooperation with this important investigation.”

The Democrats’ letter is available online here. In it, Menendez, Durbin, and Leahy demanded that the Ukrainian government answer their questions about the Mueller probe, and issued an implied threat: “This reported refusal to cooperate with the Mueller probe also sends a worrying signal — to the Ukrainian people as well as the international community — about your government’s commitment more broadly to support justice and the rule of law.”

That would certainly seem to rise to the level of collusion and taken along with lunchbucket Joe’s reckless boasting of how he threatened to withhold over a billion dollars in loan guarantees if the prosecutor investigating his son Hunter wasn’t fired is yet another example of the double standards that are practiced when it comes to Democrats.

Hypocrisy is the coin of the realm on the left.
