“Hell yes we’re going to take your lemonade stand money!” Showing his true character, democrat Beto O’Rourke is proud he accepted money for his doomed presidential campaign from a little girl’s lemonade stand. Next he’s going to take money from Girl Scout cookie sales, lawn mowing, paper routes, and car washes. This slacker doofus has absolutely no shame.

“This weekend in Austin we got to spend time with a young girl who has been selling lemonade and raising money from the lemonade sales and donating to the campaign. I think she’s raised more than a thousand dollars,” said O’Rourke.
In the video, O’Rourke is seen high-fiving 5-year-old Kelcie several times and it is very clear that this little girl has almost nothing to do with the lemonade stand; it’s all her mother Erica. That is beside the point, because O’Rourke actually took the money.
The correct thing to do here is to tell the girl she should keep the money and put it towards a college fund or at the very least instruct her to donate to a worthy charity. Instead, O’Rourke snatched that money up because his campaign is failing and he’s desperate for the cash.

So he won’t take money from adults with jobs but he’ll accept over $1000 from a five-year-old girl? What a guy.
On top of these being extremely uncool, there’s gotta be some Federal Election Commission violations here. Are 5-year-olds even allowed to donate money to presidential campaigns? Even if they are, the maximum individual campaign contribution to a candidate is $1000 and O’Rourke indicated that Kelcie had given him “more that a thousand dollars.”
Also, in the video O’Rourke buys 4 lemonades from the girl at a dollar a pop. presumably she’s going to turn around and donate that money to his campaign, something he is aware of. Candidates are not allowed to donate to their own campaign. A Candidate’s PAC can donate up to $10,000 to the campaign but direct donates are not allowed.
The worst thing about this is O’Rourke’s campaign is a vanity project. He has no chance of being the democratic party nominee and he knows it. Yet he still took the money from the little girl with knowledge that it will be pissed away for nothing. Democrats are horrible people and they keep finding new ways to be awful.
