One Woman Was Offended By Pro-Gun Sign At Hobby Lobby: Media Declares An Emergency

Next to Chick-fil-A, Hobby Lobby is the least favorite establishment of hysterical liberals. One woman in Illinois saw some humorous pro-gun signs for sale at Hobby Lobby and the media has declared it a national emergency. This woman describes herself as an antigun activist and the liberal media has tried to turn her predictable outrage into a full-blown crisis, which is also something fairly predictable.

Check this out from Yahoo!:

Hobby Lobby, the arts-and-crafts giant whose evangelical Christian owners won a landmark religious-freedom ruling in U.S. Supreme Court several years back, is now under fire for selling signs that a customer alleges “glorify and encourage gun violence,” with some calling for a boycott of the chain.

Now while Yahoo! is reporting that Hobby Lobby is “under fire” and “some” are calling for a boycott, their article is about one single anti-gun kook who was personally offended by something being sold in a retail outlet:

Shopper Leslie Ruffing, 39, was at her local Hobby Lobby in Aurora, Ill. when she came across two gun-themed wall decorations. One of the metal signs read “We don’t call 911,” framed by two opposing pistols with their barrels crossed, and with bullets embedded in the number “1.” The other yellow metal placard says “NO TRESPASSIN’,” is riddled with fake bullet holes and warns that “Violators will be shot! Survivors will be shot again!”

Gasp!

Ruffing, who identifies as a “gun violence prevention advocate” on her Twitter account, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that she was “instantly filled with disgust and anger” when seeing the firearm paraphernalia. She believes that by selling the signs, Hobby Lobby, which does not sell firearms in its stores, is going beyond affirming second amendment rights by selling products that appear to “encourage” and “glorify” gun violence.

“This type of ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ mentality is incredibly dangerous to our society and leads to innocent people dying,” Ruffing says. “I’d like to know how they can justify putting profits over people at a time in our country where we are experiencing more mass shootings than days this year.”

There’s so much wrong here besides the ridiculous faux outrage. There aren’t more mass shootings than days in this country; that’s a bogus stat from a leftist anti-gun group. Hobby Lobby isn’t raking in the dollars by selling these signs and chances are, they probably just break even on them. The only people who are going to suffer from the “shoot first, ask questions later mentality” represented by these signs are criminals who are dumb enough to ignore the signs and break into the gun-owning households that display them.

“Hobby Lobby, I’d love to know why on earth you think it’s OK to sell merchandise that blatantly glorifies and encourages gun violence. It’s 2019. Let’s do better,” said this hysterical anti-gun woman.

The woman also complained to the Manager at Hobby Lobby, but there’s no word whether the company gives a crap what this kook has to say.

Interestingly enough, she didn’t call out Hollywood for glorifying gun violence, because hypocritical gun-hating celebrities are all liberal just like this woman. There’s no use in being outraged by her own ideological people.

Here’s maybe the funniest thing about this article:

Neither Hobby Lobby nor the NRA have responded to multiple requests for comment from Yahoo Lifestyle.

Imagine that. Neither Hobby Lobby nor the NRA had any comment on one single anti-gun activist being outraged by an innocuous funny sign. Clearly they are both terrorist organizations.

Fake news isn’t just publishing false information, it’s also stuff like this to push the liberal agenda. The leftist media would never cover hundreds of pro-gun activists peacefully supporting their 2nd Amendment rights, but one stupid anti-gun kook is offended by a silly sign and they declare it a full-blown crisis.
