Beto O’Rourke Threatens To Strip Churches Of Tax Exempt Status For Not Embracing LGBT Culture

We know Beto O’Rourke hates gun ownership rights and due process, but he also doesn’t think highly of the freedom of religion. The slacker doofus democratic presidential candidate says if he is elected he would strip the tax exempt status of any church that refuses to embrace the gay culture and lifestyle. Geez, are there any Constitutional Amendments this guy actually likes?

CNN’s cringe-worthy LGBT forum on Thursday night gave many democratic party lowlights, like Joe Biden pretending to be gay, but it was Beto O’Rourke who sunk the lowest with his threat to wipe out religious freedom.

“Do you think religious institutions like colleges churches, charities, should they lose their tax exempt status if they oppose same-sex marriage?” Lemon Squeezy asked.

“Yes,” replied O’Rourke.

And he had more:

“There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone or any institution or any organization in America that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one us. So as president we’re going to make that a priority and we’re going to stop those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow Americans,” O’Rourke declared.

And speaking of rights, the 1st Amendment guarantees freedom of religion. If the government were to dictate what religions are allowed to believe, as O’Rourke would like to do, that would be a serious violation of the Constitution.

The 1st Amendment reads in part, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” By requiring churches to preach pro-LGBT nonsense, Congress would be establishing religious dogma. By denying tax exempt status of churches that don’t comply, that would be Congress prohibiting free exercise of religion. Beto’s plan manages to violate the 1st Amendment in two distinct ways, which may be a record.

His plan also has a third Constitutional violation in that presidents don’t get to make the laws, Congress does. Not that this will ever be an issue since O’Rourke will never be president, but he should have probably read up on some of this stuff before declaring his candidacy.

Most religions view homosexuality and sodomy as sins and it’s their right to believe that. The government can’t make religions accept gay marriage, abortion, or any of the other crazy crap that leftist progressive kooks cry about. And where does this madness end? Will liberals force churches to teach global warming and white privilege?

O’Rourke says he will strip the tax exempt status of any religious institution that fails to embrace the gay lifestyle, but I bet he has a carve-out for Islam. Sure, Islam teaches that homosexuality is an abomination and gays are stoned to death and thrown off of buildings, but Muslims are just as protected under liberalism as anyone in the LGBT spectrum. Turning a blind eye to Islam regarding gay marriage would be O’Rourke’s version of a “don’t ask don’t tell” policy.

Beto O’Rourke has threatened to confiscate our guns saying, “Hell yes we’re going to take your AR-15.”

Now he’s threatening to confiscate our religion basically saying, “Hell yes we’re going to take your Christianity.”

It’s unclear why he’s running for President of the United States because it seems like he wants to be the leader of a communist country where a despotic ruler denies the people all of their God-given rights. Lucky for us he doesn’t stand a chance in this election.
