There’s dozens of uninspiring democrats running for the party’s nomination in 2020, none of whom illicit any level of excitement, and a new poll suggests that if Michelle Obama were to enter the race she’d beat them all. That is not to suggest that the former first lady would physically pound the other democrats, which she is more than capable of doing as she’s built like a linebacker, but rather that she would win out in the primary race. All of this spells nothing but good news for President Trump’s reelection campaign.
So far the top democrat candidates have only managed to get a collective “meh” from democratic voters who want nothing more than to defeat President Trump next November. Joe Biden entered the race as a front runner, but every time he opens his mouth his numbers fall. There’s a certain segment of America-hating leftists kooks who support Bernie Sanders, but that lunatic fringe ain’t going to get the communist elected to the White House. Elizabeth Warren is gaining on the field, but she’s such a rotten liar that no one in their right mind thinks she’s remotely electable.
The Boston Herald reported on a new poll that puts the 2020 democratic field into proper perspective:
Former first lady Michelle Obama would enter the 2020 Democratic New Hampshire primary race as the frontrunner, a new Franklin Pierce University-Boston Herald poll has found — though so far she’s insisted she won’t.
The poll, conducted Oct. 9-13, has Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden tied in the lead of the current Democratic field in the Granite State primary, with Bernie Sanders slightly behind.
“Today, the Democratic race is a statistical dead heat between Warren (25%), Biden (24%) and Sanders (22%),” pollster R. Kelly Myers wrote in his summary of the poll results.
“If Michelle Obama were to enter the race, it would change things dramatically. Twenty-six percent of Democrats would vote for her, making her the new frontrunner. Under this scenario, Obama (26%) would lead Warren (20%), (Biden (20%) and Sanders (15%). She would take away 4 points from Warren, 4 points from Biden and 7 points from Sanders,” Meyers wrote.
There are a lot of ways to look at this poll but the most accurate is that a plurality of democratic primary voters in New Hampshire would rather check “none of the above” than vote for any of the democrats currently running for president.
Another equally accurate way to look at this is that democrats are saying everyone in the 2020 field is terrible. They don’t want a hair-sniffing racist, a fake Indian princess, a commie with a heart condition, a slacker doofus furry, Spartacus, or whatever the hell Kamala Harris is. Once again quantity doesn’t equal quality. Instead of throwing every democrat against the wall to see what sticks, the DNC should have been looking for someone people like, AKA the anti-Hillary Clinton.
Unfortunately for democrats, Michelle Obama has no intention of running. The Herald used a quote from an interview she did with Amtrak’s magazine, which is just as prestigious as it sounds:
“Just between us, and the readers of this magazine — there’s zero chance. There are so many ways to improve this country and build a better world, and I keep doing plenty of them, from working with young people to helping families lead healthier lives. But sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office will never be one of them. It’s just not for me,” said Michelle.
Both Obamas are noted liars, but in this case Michelle is probably telling the truth. Since leaving the White House the Obamas have amassed a major fortune for doing nothing and going back to the White House would definitely cut into that racket.
There are all kinds of polls out there showing most of the democratic candidates beating President Trump in the general election, but obviously they are wrong. Democrats don’t even want any of the democratic candidates to be president, so how are of them going to beat a guy with a rabid loyal base of supporters?
