Moms Demand Action is the astro-turf gun control group that is financed entirely by billionaire busybody Micheal Bloomberg. The group was founded by bored housewife Shannon Watts and works to eliminate our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Despite the the group’s strong anti-gun efforts, Watts insists they aren’t anti-gun. Because the liberal media backs this anti-gun group, they are helping to promote her lie.
CBS did this fluff piece about Watts because as leftist propagandists, they can’t have people thinking a gun control group is pursuing gun control:

The group literally advocates for the disarmament of the American people so this headline is as “fake news” as it gets. Actually, the article is pretty fake too:
Moms Demand Action is a grassroots organization advocating for stronger gun control measures, founded as a Facebook group the day after the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre that took the lives of 26 people, 20 of whom were young children. But while its members advocate for an assault ban, Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts says that it’s a “misnomer” to call the group anti-gun.
Why is misnomer in quotes? The answer is because it’s either sarcastic or a lie. Actually it is a lie because if you are trying to ban guns and gun ownership, you are decidedly “anti-gun.” Period.
“Often people think that because we’re doing this work, we’re anti-gun or we don’t support the Second Amendment. Nothing could be further from the truth,” said watts.
She wants to pass laws that restrict the kind of guns people are allowed to own so her and her faux grassroots gun control group are anti-gun and that’s smack dab up against the truth.
“This is simply about restoring the responsibilities that go along with gun rights,” Watts said. She added that while the top priorities for Moms Demand Action are background checks, red-flag laws and disarming domestic abusers, the organization also advocates for an assault weapons ban and has worked with municipalities on the issue.
That’s pro-2nd Amendment like CNN is real news.
And to prove just how pro-gun Watts is, she and…well it’s just her, but she is mulling the best possible way to disarm Americans:
Watts said that the organization needed to do more research before determining the best way to “adjudicate” an assault weapons ban.
“We need to look at the data to see what would be the most effective way to get those weapons off the streets,” said Watts.
When someone is sitting around trying to figure out the best way to disarm law-abiding American citizens, that person is, by definition, anti-gun.
This is actually very simple: If you say you support the 2nd Amendment and qualify that support with the word “but” you don’t support the 2nd Amendment.
“I think people should be able to keep and bear arms but some people shouldn’t be allowed to own guns and there are guns that all people should’t be allowed to own” is not a ringing endorsement of the 2nd Amendment. This is the complete opposite of being pro-gun.
This CBS propaganda piece is the liberal media’s attempt at 1984 Orwellian doublethink: War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Gun control is liberty. Shannon Watts isn’t an idiot.
