I know this is a few days old, but I didn’t have time to write about it when I first heard of it because of work. Meh! Although you may have already seen, you haven’t had a chance to express your feelings about it here on Def-Con News. This is what happens when two people who lack any semblance of self-control meet at McDonald’s.
A McDonald’s manager threw a blender at a customer’s face after a fight over a wrong order at an outlet in Colerain Township, Ohio.
Customer Britany Price was sent sprawling to the ground, and suffered a fractured cheekbone, broken nose and a black eye after the attack by the restaurant manager, Nashawnda Johnson.
The combatants.
And her opponent.
The shocking encounter was all captured on surveillance video.
The fight happened after Price had ordered some Happy Meals for her children, but became irritated after the order arrived wrong.
Price rejoined the queue in order to get the correct food that she had already paid for.
But she claims she was left waiting for 25 minutes.
So that justifies hurling greasy fast food at someone?
The footage shows her waiting for some time while she goes to refill her drinks, but it is clear she is became [sic] increasingly frustrated at the wait.
Suddenly the row escalates and Price is seen throwing her food over the counter at staff.
Her target was manager Johnson, who was quick to respond by picking up a blender jug and hurling it towards Price’s head.
Price fell backwards as she was hit by the jug and was left with a broken nose and shattered cheekbone. She ended up needing to have surgery.
Down goes Frazier! The manager brought a blender to a food fight.
Price told WLWT: ‘I wasn’t the only one that got frustrated, you know.
‘Watching the video we see a lot of people that see me and her talking, trying to resolve the issue, and they’re, like, “I’m not dealing with this,” you know.’
Umm, so what? What are you trying to get at, idiot? It’s not their job to deal with this.
‘Her demeanor, first off, was just very aggressive, very intensive . . .
I don’t think this word means what you think it does.
. . . and almost demeaning,’ Price said.
McDonald’s have since confirmed the manager, who had worked for them for ten years, is no longer with the company.
Johnson said that things would never have escalated had Price not started the fight in the first place.
She explains this in ebonics. I have pointed out the errors in her grammar where necessary.
‘She’s the one [sic] started this. It would’ve never went [sic] down like that if she would have never threw [sic] stuff at me,’ Johnson said to WLWT.
Johnson said she asked the general manager to handle the situation because she had a feeling things could get worse.
‘She was, like, “Nashawnda, stop doing what you’re doing. Just go up there and give her the refund.” So I’m, like, “Karen, as soon as I get up there, it’s going to blow up. You hear how she’s up there just going off, cussing, just being real [sic] irate and real [sic] rude up there,”‘ Johnson said.
‘She threw a chocolate milk and hit me in the head with it . . .
Thank God it was chocolate milk or somehow it probably would have been racist and deemed a hate crime.
. . . as I had my back turned. So I turn around. Here come [sic] the apple juice. Hit me in the face. All the Happy Meals and the brown paper bags. She just started going crazy,’ Johnson said. ‘So every action has a reaction. So while I’m getting assaulted, I just picked up anything that was right there and just threw it [the blender] back at her.’
Johnson claims she said she didn’t realize that she had thrown a blender at the woman.
‘I never had no [sic] incident like this. Never, because I’ve always been able to diffuse the situation to whatever it is. Their food is wrong, we cheated them out of money, or — always, it never got to this point,’ Johnson said.
No criminal charges have been filed in the incident although Price’s attorney says a civil case against McDonald’s is in the works.
Of course! Like the news reporter said in the video, she wants that McCheck! I didn’t know they sold ghetto lotto tickets at McDonald’s. Boy was I wrong. Anyway, they’re both a couple of losers and I’m [SIC] of this.
