Yesterday democrats announced that on either Wednesday or Thursday they would be voting for a resolution that formalizes their bogus impeachment inquiry against Trump. This resolution is completely meaningless, but Nancy Pelosi likes it so they want to pass it. But not so fast because House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has suggested that maybe it won’t be ready for a vote this week, which obviously means they don’t have the votes from their own caucus yet. The clown show continues.
House Speaker Pelosi announced that democrats were forming an impeachment inquiry against the President Trump, but they never actually got around to, you know, actually forming an impeachment inquiry. Trump has argued correctly that this inquiry is a farce so Nutty Nancy thought she’d put one over on the President by forming an official impeachment inquiry, by passing a resolution that doesn’t actually form an official impeachment inquiry.
If you’re dizzy from all of that, it’s by design. Democrats don’t have facts on their side so they go for an anarchy-type of thing to confuse the hell out of everyone. In all of the chaos however, it looks like their plans may be falling through according to Vice senior political correspondent Cameron Joseph:

If Adam Schiff is Pelosi’s penis, Steny Hoyer is her nut sack. This is some mighty big news straight from Pelosi’s scrotum that most outlets are completely ignoring. The correct interpretation of Hoyer’s hesitation to confirm a Thursday vote is that enough House democrats think this is a stupid idea that its passage is in question. Democrats are only taking this to the House floor for a vote if they know it will pass, so right now they have doubts.
And the reason why many democrats may think passing this resolution is stupid is explained perfectly by The Federalist’s Sean Davis:

Pelosi and House Democrats are clearly trying to play games with the U.S. Court of Appeals in D.C. and are hoping that the federal judges won’t notice their sleight of hand in trying to claim unlimited impeachment investigative authority without actually voting to delegate it.

Democrats can’t up and authorize a real investigation now, because that would be an admission that previous demands were unauthorized, nuking their current case. So they’re left to play cutesy games where they reference a non-existent investigation and hope nobody will notice.

And that doesn’t even cover the fact that there is no crime under which the House could impeach Trump over. He released the transcript of his call with Ukraine president Zelensky and it shows no quid pro quo. Period. End of story.
All of this stuff, the fake impeachment inquiry, the sham resolution, came from Trump daring Pelosi to do it. He literally trolled her into a corner and now she’s trapped. If democrats pass the resolution it proves all of their previous efforts were illegitimate and if the don’t bring it to a vote it also proves the illegitimacy of their fraudulent coup attempt.
