It’s A Certainty That Beto O’Rourke Will Run For Senate In Texas Again

It’s only been a week since since Beto O’Rourke’s sad presidential campaign crapped out and already it looks like he’ll try to suck at something else. The tea leaves say that slacker doofus will once again run for the U.S. Senate in Texas because he’s apparently a glutton for punishment. Chances are, standing on a table in his own home and wildly flailing his arms just ain’t the same. He needs the visceral experience of a poorly run political campaign to truly feel alive.

The first indicator that Beto will announce his candidacy to challenge for Republican Senator John Cornyn’s seat is that DNC head honcho Tom Perez is encouraging it:

“I think Texas is a battleground. I don’t know whether Congressman O’Rourke will run. I applaud the campaign he ran for president. That will be up to him. I look at the polling there, we did a debate in Texas because we believe Texas is a battleground,” Perez said.

In a rare statement from Perez that doesn’t include profanity, he’s clearly nudging O’Rourke to run for Senate in Texas.

The second piece of the puzzle is that Beto is getting restless and wants back in the game. The Hill reports that O’Rourke robots-called his 12 supporters with this message:

During a call with supporters Thursday night, the former Texas congressman said that he “absolutely” plans to stay involved in politics moving forward.

“This country is counting on all of us, and if any one of us fails to do our part to the best of our ability, then we will fail this country and the generations that follow that are counting on us,” said O’Rourke.

That’s kind of like his line that he was born to run for president, which technically wasn’t a lie since he didn’t say he was born to win the presidency.

The biggest proof that O’Rourke is running for the U.S. Senate is that he said he wouldn’t. He’s a lying sack of crap so that means he absolutely will run.

After losing the Senate race to Republican Ted Cruz last year, O’Rourke said he would not run for president:

“I don’t want to do it. I will not do it,” said O’Rourke on running for president in November 2018.

Then on March 14, 2019 Beto announced he was running for president.

Last week when O’Rourke dropped out of the president race he said he would not run for a political office of any kind ever again. Given his history, that seems like a guarantee that he will seek political office again and soon. He may not be talented, successful, or interesting, but he is predictable.

The question is, will anyone care? Just a year ago he was touted as the democratic party’s “rockstar” but he got old fast and his stock plummeted. He wasted $80 million losing to Ted Cruz and another $43 million gettin 4% support in the democratic primaries before dropping out. Are there still people that would donate to this two-time loser?
