Liberal Media Declares Impeachment Victory Because Witness Wore A Bowtie

Democrats are the party of the participation trophy so it can be excused if they don’t know what winning looks like. Their propaganda ministry known as the liberal media is doing a victory lap over the impeachment hearings, proclaiming President Trump’s guilt, because a witness wore a bowtie. That was not a typo and this is not satire (at least not on my part), the liberal media thinks because witness George Kent wore a bowtie to the hearings it proves the democrats’ allegations against the President.

The public hearings for the democrats’ farce impeachment inquiry started on Wednesday. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent testified that heard some things from other people that made him feel a certain way, which ain’t exactly compelling testimony. The liberal media however was totally stoked because Kent wore a bowtie to the hearings.

This is CNN’s Chris Cillizza tweeting out some of the failing news network’s “real news.”

Wow. 3 tweets about Kent’s bowtie? How many tweets has everyone at CNN put together sent out regarding Adam Schiff’s orchestration of the sham impeachment effort? I’d be willing to bet it is exactly zero.

These Cillizza tweets could be dismissed as CNN’s status as a joke network and an outlier, but there was more. Clearly the liberal media was instructed to play up Kent’s bowtie because Vox wrote an entire article about how this fashion choice proves Trump’s guilt:

Isn’t that something? Kent’s bowtie won the impeachment hearings and brought authority to his secondhand hearsay testimony, according to the dumb liberal website that explains the news to dumber liberals.

Amazingly enough, the article is also very dumb:

For his testimony in the first day of public hearings of the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry into President Trump, State Department official George Kent decided to wear a bow tie.

The ensemble gives Kent a benign appearance when juxtaposed with Ambassador William Taylor, the second witness, who chose to wear a black suit with a dark green tie — typical Washington attire. The public hearings are a historic moment for the participants and the country, as this is the fourth-ever impeachment inquiry into a US president.

As Kent launched into his opening statement, he drew comparisons to a diplomatic Mr. Rogers (or a sterner Bill Nye?). Kent’s dapper outfit will likely set him apart from future testifying witnesses, who will make appearances on Friday and later next week — and says a lot about who he is, and what he brings to the inquiry.

Not only do liberals think that a bowtie buried Trump, they believe being compared to a guy with a creepy pedo vibe (Mr. Rogers) and a complete fraud (Bill Nye) gives Kent credibility.

Given Kent’s decades-long experience in foreign affairs, these accessories reflect his authority and personal connection to the topic matter he’s asked to testify on.

In the context of a high-profile testimony, a person’s appearance matters. We subconsciously draw cues and make assumptions about a person based on their self-presentation.

Kent was brought on to speak about his expertise on Ukraine, and how the public reacts to his testimony will be, in part, influenced by how he chooses to present himself. Regardless of how his fashion choice was publicly received, Kent was probably aware that this public testimony is his moment in history.

No, how the public reacts to his testimony will be dictated by the liberal media, regardless of the truth, and the liberal media has decided that Kent’s bowtie proves President Trump should be impeached.

If you had “bowtie takes out Trump” in the office “fake news” pool, you just scored and that’s a genuine victory. Meanwhile, liberals think they scored because of a bowtie, which is just sad.
