If you guessed that democrats are blaming President Trump, Mitch McConnell, all Republicans, and the NRA for a school shooting in California you’ve been paying attention to the way the left exploits tragedy. Sure, this shooting took place in a state with the toughest gun control laws in the nation, there are no laws proposed that would have prevented the shooting, and both Republicans and the NRA have zero influence in liberal California, but it’s totally their fault that someone chose to disobey the law.
Fox News reports that 2 students were killed and 3 others were injured when another student opened fire at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, CA, north of Los Angeles. Police say that a 16-year-old student described as an Asian male, produced a .45 caliber handgun from his backpack and shot 5 students. The shooter then turned the gun on himself, putting a bullet in his head. Somehow the shooter survived and was taken to the hospital.
There’s still a lot to figure out in this case, like why, but with the available information it’s easy to see this is not an exploitable shooting for democrats. It happened in California, the shooter was too young to legally purchase a firearm, the gun used wasn’t an “assault rifle,” and the shooter wasn’t a white supremacist.
Despite the facts, here’s some democrats trying to exploit the victims by pushing gun control and blaming Republicans:
This is more than a tragedy. It’s an outrage.
Mitch McConnell might deliver empty words, but he refuses to use his power to help prevent gun violence. The House has passed gun reform legislation. It’s well past time for the Senate to act. https://t.co/73CA0Fcrq8

Today we’re confronted with yet another heartbreaking school shooting. Once again I ask, when will enough be enough? Congress has the ability to reduce these mass shootings. What is lacking is courage among Senate Republicans and the president to actually take action. pic.twitter.com/PMe8OXqClq

My heart is broken for the students, teachers, and parents of Saugus HS in Santa Clarita, CA.
No child should fear going to school. With each day that we fail to address our gun violence epidemic, we fail to protect our kids.
Sen. McConnell: When will we vote in the Senate?

My heart goes out to the students, teachers and parents in Santa Clarita. Thank you to the first responders and law enforcement who are still on the scene.
We don’t have to accept our children being terrorized by guns. We demand gun safety. We need to bring a fight to the NRA.

We don’t yet have all the details of the horrifying events in Santa Clarita. But we do know that in America today, children are scared to go to school. Parents and teachers are terrified. And that can’t stand. It is time to hold the NRA and our leaders in Washington accountable.

Santa Clarita, we’re with you today and every day going forward.
To everyone fighting to stop this from happening in America: the days of the NRA and the members of Congress they’ve purchased are coming to an end. Keep the faith, keep up the fight. Our kids are counting on us.

It is truly outrageous that at the very same time the Santa Clarita school shooting was happening, Senate Republicans—led by Mitch McConnell—refused to pass gun safety legislation.
Congress and Trump must finally have the courage to stand up to the NRA. Enough is enough! https://t.co/wcnrUHwhiA

It’s pathetic that members of Congress continue to cave to the @NRA.
Our kids are scared they will be murdered in their classrooms. We must act. pic.twitter.com/WqBBRAC4Jw

Okay, I’ll bite. What legislation is Senate Leader Mitch McConnell sitting on that would have stopped this shooting in California? As far as I know the only gun control bill passed by the House was a redundant background check thing. We already have a background check system and for some reason it didn’t stop a 16-year-old from illegally obtaining a gun.
Maybe there’s a secret gun control bill that magically stops 16-year-olds in California from using stolen handguns to shoot classmates. If that’s the case, then yes, Republicans have a lot to answer for. It still doesn’t explain how the NRA gets blamed in all of this. Did the NRA give the gun to the shooter? If that’s the case, then yes, the NRA has a lot to answer for.
I wonder in these cases if democrats send thank you messages to the victims parents: “Just wanted to thank your dead kid for helping me push my unconstitutional agenda. I would have sent a fruit basket but illegal aliens need it more than you.”
The only thing this school shooting in California proves is that gun control doesn’t work. Laws don’t make people obey the law. Legislation can’t stop unpredictable random acts of violence. Actually, it also proves that democrats are horrible evil people who dance on the graves of innocent victims to strip us of our Constitutional rights.
