What Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lacks in intelligence she makes up for in idiocy, which makes perfect sense to her. The scatterbrained New York Rep. recently demanded that democrats return to being the party who put Japanese Americans in internment camps and who fought against the Civil Rights act to preserve segregation in the South. Internal DNC polling shows this message doesn’t do well with minorities but resonates with radical leftist semi-closeted white supremacists.
Democratic socialists like AOC and her mentor Bernie Sanders try to explain that they aren’t really socialists, they just want to do what FDR did with the New Deal, which is socialism. Again, this makes perfect sense to a woman who doesn’t understand anything about anything.
In campaigning for Bernie, AOC tried to make this point, but ended up endorsing the democratic party’s shameful racist history instead.

“It’s time that we become the party of FDR again,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
Shortly after Pearl Harbor, FDR ordered 127,000 Japanese Americans be held in internment camps. About 80,000 of them were second and third generation Americans born in the U.S. The internment of Japanese Americans is the single biggest post-Civil War civil and human rights violation in our country’s history.
FDR’s New Deal not only forced socialism and government dependence but also perpetuated the Great Depression. This was the democrats’ declaration of war on poverty, which 85 years later still can’t claim a single victory.
“It’s time for us to become the party of the Civil Rights Act again,” screeched AOC.
40% of House democrats and 30% of Senate democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and filibustered it for nearly 3 months. The act, which prohibited discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, would not have passed without overwhelming support from Republicans.
Is this AOC’s way of saying she wants democrats to become the Republican Party?
“It’s time for us to become the party that fights for queer liberation again, the anti-war party, a party that establishes peace and prosperity,” bellowed Ocasio-Cortez.
What in God’s name is “queer liberation” and when did any party fight for that? I’m sure even a dingbat like AOC understands that in order to do something “again” you have to have done in in the past. Then again, she ain’t all that bright.
As for the party of peace:
Democrats started the Civil War and Republicans ended it.
White Supremacist Democrat Woodrow Willson got the U.S. into WWI and Republican Warren G. Harding signed the Knox-Porter Resolution to officially end American’s involvement.
Democrat FDR got the U.S. into WWII.
Democrat Harry S. Truman got the U.S. into the Korean War and Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower got us out.
Democrats JFK and LBJ got America into the Vietnam War and Republican Richard M. Nixon got us out.
I’m not saying that America shouldn’t have been involved in these conflicts, but considering that every major war in this country’s history began with a democrat in the White House, it doesn’t accurately portray the democrats as the party of peace.
“That’s the party I want to be again,” finished AOC.
If AOC were a little smarter, she’d understand that she just demanded that the democrats return to being the party who segregated the South, formed the KKK, interred American citizens, and sent the country off to war again and again. Realistically, they would have to be this racist, unconstitutional, totalitarian war party to implement the socialism AOC is pushing for, so maybe this wasn’t accidental.
