This is what “bad news/good news” looks like in the whacky world of Joe Biden. He has apparently lost an endorsement from his former boss Barack Obama, who is backing Elizabeth Warren, but then he picked up key support from accused rapist Rep. Tony Cárdenas. Hey may not get the black vote but he’s a lock to carry the sexual predators, which is actually an important voting bloc in the democratic party.
Obama has refused to endorse any candidates, saying he will support the eventual democratic party nominee. Like everything else Obama says, it’s a lie as The Hill reports:
Sen. Elizabeth Warren has spent her presidential campaign railing against the donor class, making it known she doesn’t want their help.
She has publicly bashed millionaires, has sworn off high-dollar fundraisers and has refused large checks from Democratic bundlers.
But behind the scenes in recent months, former President Obama has gone to bat for Warren (D-Mass.) when speaking to donors reluctant to support her given her knocks on Wall Street and the wealthy.
…he also has vouched for her credentials, making it clear in these private sessions that he deems her a capable candidate and potential president, sources say.
In addition to stealth-endorsing Warren, Obama is telling wealthy donors not to believe her public anti-rich people rhetoric. In other words, he’s saying Elizabeth Warren is completely full of shit. I wonder why a liar like Obama would endorse a liar like Warren. I guess turds of a feather flock together.
That’s a bummer for Joe’s troubled campaign, but he did pick up this endorsement as reported by The AP:
Joe Biden’s presidential bid got a boost Monday from one of the leading Latinos in Congress, with the chairman of the Hispanic Caucus’ political arm endorsing the former vice president as Democrats’ best hope to defeat President Donald Trump.
“People realize it’s a matter of life and death for certain communities,” Rep. Tony Cárdenas, D-Calif., told The Associated Press in an interview, explaining the necessity of halting Trump’s populist nationalism, hard-line immigration policies and xenophobic rhetoric that the California congressman called cruel.
Cárdenas’ is the chairman of Bold PAC, the political arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
Cárdenas is also an accused rapist. Here’s ABC7 with the details of a lawsuit filed against the California Congressman:
The lawsuit alleges that the defendant invited the then-teenager to play golf with him at Hillcrest Country Club and sometime during the round gave her a cup of water that had a “peculiar taste.”
The girl later collapsed but was still conscious. According to the suit, while driving her to a hospital, the man intermittently reached inside her shirt and down her pants, touching her breasts and vagina.
She pretended to be asleep out of fear of what he might do. The lawsuit also described a later incident at the teen’s father’s place of business, in which the politician told her: “Remember where your dad works.”
The plaintiff perceived that statement as a threat against her family’s security.
What a guy and what an endorsement. I wonder why a guy like Cárdenas, who inappropriately touches girls, would endorse a guy like Biden, who also inappropriately touches girls. I guess pervs of a feather flock together.
