Communist NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio Calls For Boycott Of Domino’s Pizza

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is calling for a boycott of Domino’s pizza because he doesn’t understand the laws of supply and demand or how franchises work. Mostly however the Chancellor of Cancel Culture wants people to stop eating Domino’s because he’s a huge communist. Also, he just sucks. He’s absolutely the worst. I have no idea why New Yorkers tolerate this blowhard jackass clown.

Fox News reported that a local Dominos franchise was selling pizzas at Times Square on New Year’s eve at inflated prices and nobody seemed to mind:

On Tuesday afternoon, [a reporter] spotted Domino’s delivery worker Ratan Banik hawking pies in Times Square for more than twice the $14.49 price of a regular large cheese pizza.

Despite the added cost, Banik did brisk business with hungry tourists who were waiting in holding pens for the annual New Year’s celebration, with one saying, “It’s absolutely worth it.”

“It was hot. It seems like it just came out of the oven,” said Amit Zanwar, 31, of New Jersey.

“If he comes back, I will buy some more.”

The pies came from a Domino’s franchise at 40th Street and Seventh Avenue, where a woman said the business had sold more than 50 by 6 p.m. and would continue offering them until the midnight ball drop that rang in 2020.

But Bill de Blasio minded. Having solved all of the city’s other problems (or not) he sent out this rage tweet:

While de Blasio was blaming the entire Domino’s company, a spokesman for the pizza chain pointed out that what hizzoner was really trying to do is put hardworking New Yorkers out of business:

“Every store in [New York City] is owned by a local resident. Every employee is a local New York resident. Those stores provide jobs to thousands of his fellow citizens. With his comments, the mayor is suggesting that New Yorkers who own or work at a franchise are ‘lesser than’ those who don’t,” said the spokesman.

On top of that, so what if Domino’s was selling pizzas for $30? Nobody was forcing anyone to buy these overpriced pies. Pizza isn’t a vital necessity that all people are entitled to. This wasn’t a disaster situation in which they were price-gouging an essential life-saving need.

This is a little thing we like to call supply and demand. Lots of people wanted pizza and there was a limited number of pies to go around. Hence the price goes up. It’s why sometimes gas costs more and the price of milk spikes.

It’s also the basic principal of free market capitalism. AirPods cost $159 because that’s what people are willing to pay for them. If nobody was willing to spend $30 on a pizza, the price would drop.

De Blasio doesn’t understand any of this because he is a communist. Guess what, Bill, there is no pizza under socialism. Without the incentive of making a profit nobody is opening a pizzeria. If the socialist government decided to make pizza, people would stand in line for 3 days to get a cold terrible slice. Also under socialism there is no competition, so there’s no incentive to make a good product or give satisfactory service either.

Once again the Mayor of NYC is trying to put New Yorkers out of work and diminish the city’s tax intake. It’s unclear who he’s working for, but it certainly isn’t the people of New York City.

Also…

…he eats pizza with a fork. That alone should be disqualifying.
