On Tuesday around the same time Iran was launching ballistic missiles at U.S. military bases in Iraq, a Ukraine airliner crashed in Tehran, killing all 176 aboard. The plane, which was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile, didn’t get much attention at the time because liberals were hyperventilating that President Trump was starting WWIII. Now that the next world war has failed to materialize, liberals are looking for something else to freak out about. Pete Buttigieg joins a chorus of lefties blaming Trump for Iran shooting down a plane full of civilians because of course he does.
Fox News reports on the nature of the Ukraine plan crash in Iran:
The Ukrainian passenger plane that crashed shortly after taking off from Tehran’s international airport Wednesday was shot down by mistake by an Iranian anti-aircraft missile, Pentagon officials told Fox News.
Officials said U.S. intelligence increasingly points at the airliner being accidentally struck by a Russian-made missile, killing all 176 people on board the flight, just hours after Iran fired more than a dozen ballistic missiles targeting two military bases housing American and coalition troops.
“An absolute tragedy,” one U.S. official told Fox News. “They just screwed up and it is tragic.”
The U.S. official told Fox News that a Russian-made SA15 missile, which is part of the Tor surface-to-air missile system, was the kind that brought down the aircraft. Russia delivered 29 Tor-M1 systems to Iran in 2007 as part of a $700 million contract signed in December 2005.
Based on Iran shooting this plane down, democratic party candidate Pete Buttigieg thinks it’s actually President Trump’s fault:

Buttigieg doesn’t use Trump’s name, but the blame is clear as day. He says the reason the plane was shot down was not because Iran is dangerously incompetent and hostile but rather because President Trump provoked the terrorist nation.
Mayor Pete was not alone in blaming President Trump. Former California Senator Barbra Boxer launched some kind of a campaign based on this lie:

I’m assuming Boxer is running for Ayatollah of Iran with this. She’ll be sadly disappointed to find out that Muslims don’t let women be in charge of anything.
The world of academia also got on the act. Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe, who convinced Nancy Pelosi to sit on the articles of impeachment, went full-nutso on this:

Not only does Tribe blame Trump for Iran killing civilians, he calls taking out terroist Qasem Soleiman an “assassination.”
The liberal media also tried to get in on this blame game. NBC News correspondent Heidi Przybyla tweeted and deleted this insinuation:
That just leaves Hollywood as the only faction of the liberal coalition to not blame Trump. Oh wait, here’s Patricia Arquette with the mutha of all Trump conspiracy theories:
“Is this just another threat from Putin to Ukraine? A little…I control the US.. I call the shots with Iran do what I say..?” Arquette wrote in the deleted tweet.
So Putin controls the U.S. and Iran? Why would he make them shoot missiles at each other? Maybe that’s why Arquette deleted this tweet.
If these liberal nuts want someone to blame for everything that’s going on between Iran and America, look no further than former president Barack Obama. He emboldened the rogue nation by lifting sanctions and sending them billions in cash to finance their terrorist activities. Or, they could just blame Iran for shooting down the plane since they’re the assholes who pulled the trigger.
