Nancy Pelosi has been sitting her garbage articles of impeachment, refusing to transmit them to the Senate for a trial. She was hoping to force the Senate into reinvestigating the bogus charges against President Trump but that ain’t gonna happen so it looks like she might finally send the articles. If this seems like a loss for the House Speaker that’s because it is, but it doesn’t mean she has no more tricks up her leave. Both her and her henchman “Shifty” Adam Schiff say that if the Senate exonerates President Trump, it’s a massive cover-up.

“But the fact is, one of the things that I think is very important, what I think people should be very aware of, very unusually, the leader of the Senate, Mitch McConnell has signed on to a resolution to dismiss the case,” claimed Pelosi.
This is a completely lie and even Stephanopoulos challenged her on it it, but Pelosi stuck to her bullshit.
“I’m telling you that he signed on Thursday to a resolution to dismiss the case,” Pelosi said.
No, Mitch McConnell proposed a Senate rule change that would require the House to deliver the articles of impeachment within 25 days or the articles would be dismissed. This wasn’t voted on or passed. But hey, facts, schmacts, Pelosi insists that McConnell has dismissed the articles of impeachment and that’s a problem because…
“Dismiss, dismissing is a cover up. Dismissing is a cover up,” said Pelosi.
Pelosi then contradicted herself by acknowledging that the Seante hasn’t dismissed the articles and is ready to hold a trail, just not the trail she wants.
“If they want to go that route again, the Senators who are thinking now about voting for witnesses or not – they will have to be accountable for not having a fair trial,” Pelosi added.
The bottom line is that Pelosi is saying if the Senate doesn’t conduct the trail according to her specifications, then it’s a cover up.
This is something Adam Schiff reiterated on Face the Nation:

“Americans want to see a fair trial in the Senate,” started Schiff. “If McConnell succeeds in making this trial a trial without witnesses it would be the first impeachment trial in history…where they didn’t have witnesses. That’s not a fair trial, that’s a sham. That’s a cover up.”
He certainly hit all of Pelosi’s BS talking points, didn’t he?
“And I think one of the things that holding on to the articles has succeeded doing is fleshing out McConnell and the president’s desire to make this a cover-up,” said Schiff.
There you have it: Pelosi and Schiff both agree that if the Senate considers their articles of impeachment against President Trump, it’s a cover up.
It’s not the Senate’s job to reopen an investigation and do the work of the House. The House voted on articles of impeachment and the Senate needs to look at those articles and decide if the President should be removed from office. What Pelosi and Schiff are claiming is that the Senate has to find more evidence that President Trump did something wrong and that’s simply not true.
Both Pelosi and Schiff know that they impeached the President for no particular reason and have an extremely weak case. That’s why Pelosi has thus far decided not to transmit the articles to the Senate. She also knows that after considering the articles for about 5 seconds, the Senate will acquit President Trump so she has the ready-made excuse that it’s all a big cover up.
