Bernie Sanders Reportedly Told Elizabeth Warren A Woman Can’t Be President

Let’s take this with a gain (silo) of salt because it comes from fake news CNN, but reportedly Bernie Sanders told Elizabeth Warren that a woman cannot get elected president in the United States. Chances are Bernie said this because he’s uncomfortable around women and minorities, but the reason it’s coming out now is because Sanders is surging in the polls and the liberal media needs to protect Joe Biden’s per-ordained nomination. The fact remains that the left is eating itself, so whatever the case with Bernie, this is fun for the rest of us.

CNN took a brief rest from attacking President Trump with unnamed sources to go after Bernie:

The stakes were high when Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren met at Warren’s apartment in Washington, DC, one evening in December 2018. The longtime friends knew that they could soon be running against each other for president.

The two agreed that if they ultimately faced each other as presidential candidates, they should remain civil and avoid attacking one another, so as not to hurt the progressive movement. They also discussed how to best take on President Donald Trump, and Warren laid out two main reasons she believed she would be a strong candidate: She could make a robust argument about the economy and earn broad support from female voters.

Sanders responded that he did not believe a woman could win.

Warren should have hit back: “Ditto for communists.”

CNN said they had some iron-clad sources for this information:

The description of that meeting is based on the accounts of four people: two people Warren spoke with directly soon after the encounter, and two people familiar with the meeting.

Adding to the credibility of this piece, Buzzfeed backed it up:

Elizabeth Warren recalled an explosive account of a meeting with Bernie Sanders in which he said he didn’t believe a woman could win in 2020, according to three people who heard the story directly from her in the weeks following their private meeting.

Wow, CNN and Buzzfeed? That’s a whose who of bullshit and yet the story not only seems plausible but likely.

Bernie of course is denying he ever said a woman can’t be president.

“It is ludicrous to believe that at the same meeting where Elizabeth Warren told me she was going to run for president, I would tell her that a woman couldn’t win. It’s sad that, three weeks before the Iowa caucus and a year after that private conversation, staff who weren’t in the room are lying about what happened. What I did say that night was that Donald Trump is a sexist, a racist and a liar who would weaponize whatever he could. Do I believe a woman can win in 2020? Of course! After all, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by 3 million votes in 2016,” said Bernie in a statement.

So his proof that he believes a woman can be president is a woman who didn’t become president? That makes about as much sense as his socialist nonsense and that is to say, not at all.

Like I said said, Bernie probably did say this, but what’s he gonna do? Admit he told Warren she can’t be president? He should have explained that he told her a woman who pretended to be an Indian and is 10 times faker than Hillary Clinton can’t get elected. It’s an explanation that makes sense and doesn’t piss off anyone except the cultural appropriation and disingenuous pantsuit voting blocs, which isn’t even Bernie’s base.

The other thing that is probably true here is that the liberal media has selected Joe Biden as the 2020 democratic party nominee and Bernie’s surge in the polls ahead of Iowa has them panicking. They’ve probably been sitting on this story for months, waiting for the right time to spring it and cause the most damage. I’m sure CNN has nasty Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg stories too, just in case.
