The NYT Times reported that a book written by former National Security Adviser John Bolton has a “bombshell” that President Trump tied aid to Ukraine to an investigations into the Bidens, proving the articles of impeachment. Democrats are using this to push for Bolton to testify in Trump’s Senate impeachment trial and even some Republicans are getting on board. Isn’t it a coincidence how democrats always come up with some 11th hour bombshell to support their otherwise weak case? Actually, it’s not a coincidence at all. Much like the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, this is more democratic party dirty tricks.
John Bolton wrote a book, soon to be published, in which he claims President Trump told him explicitly that he was holding up aide to Ukraine until the country announced investigations into Joe Biden and his crackhead son Hunter. The NYT times broke this story, citing a leak of the book as the source.
Here’s where things get swampy. Bolton was required to submit the manuscript to the National Security Council to make sure he wasn’t writing anything classified. Bolton claims that the only people who have seen his manuscript are the people at the NSC review process.
As Fox News reports, even Bolton’s people think there’s something fishy going on:
Sarah Tinsley, a senior adviser to Bolton, told Fox News he had submitted a hard copy draft of his manuscript to the NSC several weeks ago for “pre-publication review,” but insisted he had not shared it with anyone else.
And, in a statement obtained by Fox News, Bolton attorney Charles Cooper lamented that the NSC review process had been “corrupted.”
“On December 30, 2019, I submitted, on behalf of Ambassador Bolton, a book manuscript to the National Security Council’s Records Management Division for standard prepublication security review for classified information. As explained in my cover letter to Ellen J. Knight, Senior Director of the Records Management Division, we submitted the manuscript notwithstanding our firm belief that the manuscript contained no information that could reasonably be considered classified and on the assurance that the ‘process of reviewing submitted materials is restricted to those career government officials and employees regularly charged with responsibility for such reviews’ and that the ‘contents of Ambassador Bolton’s manuscript will not be reviewed or otherwise disclosed to any persons not regularly involved in that process.'”
Cooper continued: “A copy of my December 30 letter is attached. It is clear, regrettably, from The New York Times article published today that the prepublication review process has been corrupted and that information has been disclosed by persons other than those properly involved in reviewing the manuscript.”
You got that? Someone from the NSC leaked Bolton’s manuscript to the NYT. Who could do such a thing? Well, Breitbart has a pretty good idea. It turns out democrats’ star witness in the impeachment hearings, Alexander Vindman, has an identical twin brother named Yevgeny, who just happens to work at the NSC clearing manuscripts. You couldn’t even make this up if you tried.
A source close to the Trump administration informs Breitbart News that Army Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman, a senior ethics lawyer for the National Security Council (NSC), is in charge of reviewing all publications by current and former NSC officials.
The official added that Yevgeny Vindman could have seen former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s draft manuscript after it was submitted for prepublication review at the end of December.
Yevegeny Vindman is the identical twin brother of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who is one of Democrats’ key witnesses in the impeachment of President Donald Trump. The brothers have offices across from each other.
Alexander Vindman told the House Intelligence Committee in his closed-door deposition that he told his brother, Yevgeny, about President Trump’s July 25th call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The timing of this leak is no coincidence either. Democrats brought a non-existent impeachment case to the Senate and have been screaming that they need additional testimony from people like John Bolton. Then, suddenly, here’s this “bombshell” that they say compels the Senate to call witnesses like John Bolton.
This is exactly like the Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing where suddenly at the 11th hour there was “new information” that cast doubt on his ability to sit on the bench. Democrats are devious, but also predictable and sloppy. This latest desperate nothing burger is not going to make any difference in President Trump’s Senate acquittal.
