For over two decades The Drudge Report has been a must-read for conservatives who were looking for the real scoop but sadly it has now joined the rest of the anti-Trump media.
Conservatives have been fleeing in droves after the longtime must-read website began featuring links to mainstream media stories highly critical of Trump who founder Matt Drudge played a big role in getting elected.
The often reclusive Drudge has baffled readers and after coming under heavy criticism has laid now and not offered a comment as to why he has suddenly enlisted in the resistance.
Until this week when the man who was a transformative figure in how people got their news was pinned down during an interview with the Columbia Journalism Review and made it clear that he is sooo over President Trump.

Matt Drudge, the founder of the Drudge Report, appeared to distance himself from President Trump and from his previous support for the current commander in chief.
Drudge, whose site rose to prominence during the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, was asked about the apparent shift his site took by Columbia Journalism Review’s Bob Norman. The reporter visited Drudge’s home in Florida so he could ask him about the current administration, but Drudge didn’t answer when Norman knocked. He did answer his phone when Norman called him after leaving his property, according to a CJR article by Norman, which was published on Wednesday.
They talked briefly, and Norman said he told Drudge, 53, that he “was curious about his current thoughts on Trump.”
“You and everybody else,” Drudge answered, according to Norman, who then pointed out that he went “all in on Trump during the [2016] election.”
“That was three years ago,” the founder of the aggregate website responded. Norman noted that Drudge’s “response seemed rather telling, a clear distancing from the president.”
Like so many other so-called conservatives who have aligned themselves with the enemies of the republic against President Trump, Drudge has gone over to the dark side.
At first, it was subtle but anti-Trump propaganda and links to the fake news media began replacing the truth at Drudge as the establishment’s war on America through the jihad to oust the legitimately elected president raged on.
The creeping takeover of Drudge by Deep State-Democrat friendly fake news exploded into full-blown activism against Trump as the Democrats pursued their dastardly and unconstitutional impeachment inquiry and with the betrayal fully in place, Drudge has become an unofficial propaganda arm of the Democratic party.
So, what in tarnation is up with Drudge? There are three possible theories.
Drudge is either:
A: Just a greedy charlatan who is salivating over Trump’s impeachment and the traffic it will bring to his once great website which is now a skeleton of its former self.
B: A two-faced hypocrite who when push comes to shove, is more than happy to climb into bed with the enemies of America than to stand up for what’s right.
C: Perhaps worst of all, he has always been a Deep State operative who until now when the desperation to prevent Trump’s reelection has done away with all former pretenses, has always been in the bag for the bad guys.
Or any combination of the above.
