In the latest Quinnipiac poll, billionaire Michael Bloomberg has bought his way into third place among democratic candidates, surpassing Elizabeth Warren. Much like Warren, Bloomberg has some serious race issues. Namely his “stop and frisk” policy as NYC mayor and more specifically because at one point he literally blamed all crime on minorities and called for black people to be disarmed. Presumably he’ll be able to write some checks to the liberal media to keep them from making a big deal about this.
The Daily Wire had this bad news for Bloomberg today:
Explosive audio was released on Monday that allegedly showed Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg defending his stop-and-frisk policies at a 2015 Aspen Institute appearance by saying that law enforcement should target minorities “because that’s where all the crime is.”
The audio was released by podcast host Benjamin Dixon, who encouraged people to share it “far and wide.”
In the audio, Bloomberg allegedly says, “95% of your murders – murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16-25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city and that’s where the real crime is.”
The thing is, I reported on this when I used to write for Downtrend back in 2016. I even had the explosive audio 4 years ago:
“It’s controversial, but first thing is all of your — 95 percent of your murders, and murderers, and murder victims fit one [mumbles]. You can just take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all of the cops. They are male, minorities, 15 to 25. That’s true in New York, it’s true in virtually every city in America,” said Bloomberg.
“You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of the people getting killed,” he continued.
“The kids think they’re getting killed anyways because all of their friends are getting killed. So they just don’t have any long-term focus or anything. It’s a joke to have a gun, it’s a joke to pull the trigger.”
“It’s all the same group. Nobody in New York gets murdered — if you get murdered the first thing you want to do is [ask] ‘what were you selling or who are your family members.’ Because it just has to be you’re a drug dealer or you [unintelligible] a family quarrel. There’s just no other kind of murder whatsoever.”
“People say ‘oh my God you are arresting kids for marijuana, they’re all minorities.’ Yes, that’s true. Why? Because we put all of the cops in the minority neighborhoods. Yes that’s true. Why’d we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is,” finished Bloomberg.
At the time I first covered this, I noted:
Sure, that’s more or less true, but gosh darn it, didn’t Bloomberg ever have racial sensitivity training? You’re not supposed to state facts concerning minorities because it hurts their feeling and everyone knows hurt feelings equal racism.
For the most part what Bloomberg said was spot on, but he broke the liberal rule of not speaking the truth about minorities.
Keep in mind that I’m a conservative blogger while Michael Bloomberg is a democratic party candidate for president. I’m allowed to acknowledge true things about minorities and crime, while Bloomberg has to pretend that no black person has ever committed a crime.
4 or 5 years ago it was considered racist in liberal circles to claim that black people committed the crimes they commit. In today’s hyper-liberalism spazz-fest it’s extra-super-racist to point out facts concerning minorities and crime.
The good news for Bloomberg is he is both extremely wealthy and a democrat. The liberal media will never call attention to this and just in case, Bloomy can just pass out sacks of cash with a dollar signs on them and tell people, “You din’t see nothin’.”
