Democrats have a lot of problems heading into the November election but the biggest is that the economy under President Trump is booming and voters aren’t likely to want a change. They try to dismiss the historically great job numbers by pretending they don’t exist or by giving credit to Barack Obama. One democrat had an even more inventive way of ignoring the reality of Trump’s economy by saying black people were way better off during slavery. Don’t worry, this was a black democrat so he can say crap like that and get away with it.
Rep. James Clyburn is the House Majority Whip, which is the highest position of power the “diversity democrats” will give a black man. He went on Fox Business News to bullshit the incredible Trump economy.
“[Trump has] delivered the goods for a lot of African Americans, has he not? With record low unemployment levels…you don’t think that’s constructive?” host Neil Cavuto asked.
No, because it’s not true,” replied Clyburn.
Who you gonna believe, an anti-Trump democrat or you lying’ eyes?
“I’m saying that the African-American unemployment is not the lowest it’s ever been unless you count slavery. We were fully employed during slavery. So it all depends how you measure this up,” said Clyburn.
I get where he’s coming from. He’s a democrat and slavery was the last time democrats got black people working. Of course he’s going to defend his party’s last policy success.
He is wrong in calling slavery “employment.” A job is something where you trade your labor for compensation. Slavery was forced labor with no compensation or benefits. Democrats at the time were going to implement an early version of Medicare for All for slaves with free leeches and bloodletting but those stupid Republicans had to come along and emancipate them.
This is what Trump Derangement Syndrome has done to the left. This is a black elected member of Congress arguing that black people prefer slavery and torture to gainful employment under President Trump’s economic policies. Did he poll his constituents on this or is he just assuming?
In the thing that preceded this, Cavuto asked Clyburn if he would vote for Michael Bloomberg considering all the bad things the former NYC Mayor has said about black people.
“I’m going to back whoever our nominee is,” replied Clyburn.
“Even with the things he has said about African Americans? Does that bother you?” Cavuto asked.
“Well, not as much as what Trump has said about African Americans,” said Clyburn.
Okay, I’ll bite. What has Trump said about African Americans? He’s falsely accused of saying things about Hispanics, but him saying bad things about blacks isn’t even a liberal lie.
Bloomberg on the other hand said all crime is because of black people and governed over the racist stop-and-frisk policy that targeted young blacks in NYC.
Again, this is TDS rearing it’s silly head. Clyburn would rather vote for some who has said and done racist things than a guy who has done more for blacks than any other president besides Abraham Lincoln.
I am sensing a platform shift in the democratic party after this ridiculous interview. Soon they will say they want to go back to the slavery days to undo the “racist” gainful employment policies of Donald Trump. They can call it: Make America a Slave State Again and print up “Yes, MASSA” hats.
Sooner or later black people need to recognize that the democratic party is not their friend.
