John Mulaney used to write for Saturday Night Live and is now somehow less famous so naturally the show brought him back to host. With such a Z-lister guy hosting the show, something had to be down to get a little attention and they went the TDS route. Mulaney “joked” that it would be neat if President Trump got stabbed to death just like Julius Caesar. I still don’t think anyone watched, but at least people are talking about it.
This is what passes for comedy in the Age of Trump:
“It is a Leap Year, as I said. Leap Year began in 45 B.C. under Julius Caesar. This is true, he started the Leap Year in order to correct the calendar and we still do it to this day,” began Mulaney.
Now wait for it…
“Another thing that happened under Julius Caesar, he was such a powerful maniac that all the senators grabbed knives and they stabbed him to death. That would be an interesting thing if we brought that back now,” Mulain said.
Get it? Mulaney thinks Trump is a powerful maniac who should be stabbed to death like Caesar was. Like all crybaby entertainment industry leftists, he has abandoned entertaining to push his anti-Trump death fantasies. This horrible sentiment is totally justified in his mind because he gots the sads over the results of a free and fair election.
Though Mulaney was making a joke (I guess) he probably has no idea how close his Trump/Caesar analogy is. Before Caesar was assassinated, he put through many reforms like tax cuts, land reforms, and most of all, appointing officials of his own choosing that robbed the aristocracy of their power. Trump has cut taxes, given federal land back to the people, and is trying to drain the swamp.
Because Caesar threatened the establishment’s stranglehold on power, Senators stabbed him to death on the Ides of March. Because Trump threatens the establishment’s power Representatives impeached him on the Winter Solstice. It ended better for Trump because there was only one traitor in the Senate, prompting the President to say, “Et tu, Romney?”
Following Caesar’s assassination things went from the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire and that’s exactly what leftists want now. They don’t want a system where the people have a say or are allowed to pick their leaders. Liberals would like to install themselves in charge of a dictatorship in which they tell the people how to think and act.
Sure, Mulaeny presented this as a joke, but this is really what the anti-Trump resistance is all about: destroying America as we know it to establish the permanent rule of leftist progressive socialist communist Marxism. If you think I’m overreacting, feel free to point out any policy, plan, or platform from a democrat that expands our freedom. You can’t because everything they are about is exerting more control over our lives.
There was a time, not long ago, when it was unacceptable and even illegal to joke about assassinating the President of the United States. But that was before the American people defied Hollywood and the liberal overlords by electing Donald J. Trump. Now anything goes.
