Bernie Sanders is a socialist and he means it, damn it! Anything that allows people to chose what to do with their own money is going to make him angry. That’s why Bernie is against charity. He feels it’s the government’s job to take money and distribute it where the communist overlords deem fit. This is no joke. Bernie really hates charity.
The New York Times archives was hiding this gem from September 19, 1981:
For the kickoff of the 40th annual Chittenden County United Way fund-raising drive in Burlington, Vt., the sponsors considered themselves fortunate to have as guests Mayor Bernard Sanders of Burlington and Gov. Richard Snelling of Vermont.
But the charity workers heard the sort of things they wanted to hear from only one of their guests.
”I don’t believe in charities,” said Mayor Sanders, bringing a shocked silence to a packed hotel banquet room. The Mayor, who is a Socialist, went on to question the ”fundamental concepts on which charities are based” and contended that government, rather than charity organizations, should take over responsibility for social programs.
The weird thing is, Bernie is a millionaire because of charity. As a career politician, he’s never had a real job in his life. He’s also never done anything as a politician to earn his tax-payer funded salary, so that is in essence charity. He’s gotten rich off of other people’s money for doing nothing. He may squeak by on a technicality since it was the government taking the people’s money and giving it to him, but it certainly doesn’t stop him from looking like a massive hypocrite.
This is only a couple of lines from the NYT from almost 4 decades ago, but there’s so much to enjoy. First, it’s important to note that the NYT referred to Bernie as a “socialist” and not a “democratic socialist” or whatever else he calls himself now to soften the impact of his horrifying ideology. He’s a socialist. Pure and simple.
Next, he was the Mayor of Burlington, Vermont, hosting a charitable event with the United Way and he told the people that charity is bullshit. Not only has always been a commie, he’s also always been a complete asshole. If he has such a problem with charity, why the hell did he host a charitable event in his city?
Lastly, we go back to Bernie’s socialism. The reason he doesn’t like charity is because it steps on the toes of his socialist beliefs and allows people a level of freedom with their own money that he finds unacceptable. He was calling for charity to be nationalized the same way he wants all industry nationalized. There is no room for acts of kindness or freewill in Bernie’s communist revolution.
Now that Bernie has emerged as the democratic party frontrunner, liberals are suddenly panicking at the thought of trying to take on Trump with an avowed socialist. As such, all kinds of terrible things he’s said in the past are suddenly coming out. He was never really vetted in 2016 because the DNC had the fix in to screw him out of the nomination and didn’t need to expose him for what he really is. Now that they foolishly changed their rules and will have a harder time cheating him in 2020, there is a mad scramble to destroy him.
It probably won’t matter because the democratic party has moved too far left to reject Bernie at this point. Don’t worry, President Trump will use all of this opposition research in the general election to kick the crap out of Bernie’s commie ass.
