Since the liberal media has convinced us the world is coming to an end, people are naturally freaking out and one of the things to come from that is stockpiling guns and ammo. Now the same liberal media that has been scaring the shit out of people are telling everyone to stop freaking out and especially stop buying guns. CNN did a “think” piece about how stocking up on firearms and ammunition during the coronavirus hysteria they created will lead to more deaths and suicides. And because this is CNN, they also warn that these newly purchased firearms will eventually be used in mass shootings at churches and schools.
Here’s CNN’s latest attempt at journalism: Buying a gun isn’t the answer to coronavirus
I didn’t even know coronavirus was a question. Maybe it’s an answer like on Jeopardy. “What goes good with a slice of lime disease, Alex?” (Munny gets credit for that joke)
Americans are responding to the growing coronavirus pandemic by stocking up on essentials like toilet paper, eggs, milk — and deadly guns and ammunition. But all of that firepower is likely to do more harm than good, as Americans continue to grapple with the anxiety and uncertainty ahead.
I’d be willing to bet that more people die from “deadly” spoiled milk every year than by legal gun owners committing murder.
Also, deadly guns? As opposed to beneficial guns? Actually according to CNN, there are varying degrees of lethality in firearms:
Across the country, firearm shops are reporting a boom in sales, as customers line up to buy ammunition, handguns, shotguns, rifles — and even the deadliest of assault weapons.
Which assault weapon is the deadliest, because I’d like to get one of those.
But doomsday preppers and gun enthusiasts aren’t the only ones buying the nation’s gun and ammo inventory. Anecdotal reports from gun shop owners suggest that first-time purchasers are also getting in on the action.
There’s nothing like anecdotal evidence to base a complete liberal spaz-fit, is there?
Here’s the problem as CNN sees it, based entirely on nothing:
The gun and ammunition rush could lead to a spike in firearm suicides and domestic violence incidents, however.
And they quoted this “expert” opinion to prove their point:
As Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva explained during a press conference on Monday, “buying guns is a bad idea.”
“You have a lot of people now who are at home, normally they’re not, cabin fever sets in and you have a crowded environment. Weapons are not a good mix,” said Villanueva.
Anyone who lives in the LA area knows Sheriff Villanueva is a complete moron. If you’re bored, find some video of him talking. It’s like listening to a drunk know-it-all at the end of the bar.
So far this CNN piece says that guns + coronavirus = suicides and family massacres, but there’s more. Igor Volsky, one of the authors of this article and the executive director of anti-freedom group Guns Down America , tweeted out some additional information regarding his legal gun ownership warning:
4/ We can’t lose any more lives to guns during this pandemic or after it’s over.
The weapons you’re buying today could end up being used in households, schools, churches, bars, and on our streets in the future.
So spread the word & help us #StopCoronavirusGunSurge

You got that? People stocking up guns in a time of crisis will eventually lead to those guns being used in mass shootings.
It gets sillier because the CNN piece ends with them telling us all to obey science:
And, so, if the best way to stop the coronavirus pandemic is to listen to the guidance of health professionals and scientists, then Americans must also tune out the grifters who are using this crisis to sell more firearms and embrace the overwhelming and conclusive science around the dangers of gun ownership.
If you’re looking to protect your family, continue to buy food and basic essentials as needed, not guns and ammunition — and then stay home.
Liberals resenting our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms is not “conclusive science” by any stretch of the imagination. The sad thing is, CNN probably thinks this article is going to make people stop buying guns.
The ironic thing is, CNN helped manufacture the hysteria that has people flocking to the guns stores to stock up for the apocalypse. This is what happens when fake news fakes itself out.
