Remember the bold leadership Barack Obama showed during the 2009 H1N1 swine flu outbreak that killed almost 13,000 Americans? Neither do I, but according to the former president, he did a bang-up job. So much so that Obama is attacking President Trump for his responses to the coronavirus. And because he’s still a douche, he somehow made this about global warming.
Sequestered in his beachfront $14 million mansion, Obama felt like not enough people were paying attention to him so he tweeted out this thing that he thought would be helpful:
We’ve seen all too terribly the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic. We can’t afford any more consequences of climate denial. All of us, especially young people, have to demand better of our government at every level and vote this fall. https://t.co/K8Ucu7iVDK

The Trump administration recently rolled back the miles per gallon standard so automakers could produce affordable vehicles. That’s a job saving move, but what the hell does that have to do with the current coronavirus crisis?
Obama doesn’t use Trump’s name because he’s scared if he says it 3 times, the bad orange man will appear and stick him with a meat hook. Obama however does make it very clear that he’s saying Trump denied the existence of the coronavirus and that’s why people are getting sick and dying.
It’s a popular bullshit liberal narrative that Trump slept on the coronavirus and allowed it to enter our country. The truth of the matter is, Trump was on this from the beginning and the entire left side of the country accused him of racism for his efforts to stop it.
And speaking of ignoring pandemic warnings, Obama did absolutely nothing about the swine flu in 2009. This was a disease that infected 1.4 billion people worldwide and killed over a half million. Obama didn’t restrict travel, he didn’t shut the economy down, and he didn’t issue stay-at-home orders.
Also, the liberal media never once questioned his tepid response to a pandemic that so far looks worse than the coronavirus. NBC didn’t give him shit fro not having enough ventilators. CNN didn’t accuse him of not taking it seriously enough. MSNBC never cried that Obama was being a speciesist for calling it the “swine flu.”
Joe Biden didn’t broadcast from a private bunker that we need to listen to the experts. Hillary Clinton didn’t gloat that the U.S. had a record number of swine flu cases. Hollywood wasn’t screaming that Obama was guilty of murder.
So actually, yes we have seen the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic. He showed us in 2009 with nearly 13,000 deaths, but clearly that’s not what he’s getting at with this tweet. He blames his failings on others and takes credit for things he had nothing to do with
Speaking of which, he was taking credit for the historically great economy under Trump before the coronavirus. Do you think he’s still trying to own it now that everything has crashed? My guess is, no.
Ultimately, Obama is trying to use his lack of self-awareness and Trump attacks to influence voters this November. I actually agree with him on this. People should vote against the party that that didn’t take the swine flu epidemic seriously. They should vote against the party that delayed coronavirus relief to push their whacko socialist agenda. They should vote agains the party that has politicized a national crisis.
In other words, vote Republican and let’s get 4 more years strong leadership and tangible results. The alternative is Crazy Joe Biden and his hairy legs.
