The Ahmaud Arbrey shooting by two white men is the latest liberal racial grievance outrage vehicle. The story being presented is that a pair of racists gunned down this innocent black man who was just out for a jog. The evidence doesn’t support that narrative but since when do facts matter to the liberal media trying to stoke rage? As if to prove this is all nonsense, the Mayor of Atlanta is blaming the shooting squarely on President Trump.
In February in Glynn County, Georgia, father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael saw Ahmaud Arbrey creeping around a house that was under construction and perhaps recognized him as a burglary suspect captured on a home security cam. The elder McMichael called 911 to report a possible theft in progress, but when Arbrey took off running down the street, he and his son grabbed their guns and followed in their pickup truck.
The McMichael’s caught up to Arbrey and confronted him. The younger McMichael got out of the truck with his shotgun and said they wanted to talk. The father and son later stated they were trying to perform a citizen’s arrest. Arbrey however didn’t want to talk and lunged for the shotgun. As the two men struggled, Travis McMichael was able to get control of his weapon and shot Arbrey, who stumbled off and died. The McMichaels explained that they feared for their lives and had to use deadly force.
No charges were filed, with the DA initially ruling there was no evidence of a crime. That all changed a few days ago and the McMichaels were arrested and charged with murder.
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, which would be a great name for a transgender rapist, went on CNN to ramp up the hysteria.
“It’s 2020 and this was a lynching of an African-American man,” said Bottoms. “With the rhetoric we hear coming out of the White House, many who are prone to being racist are given permission to do it in an overt way we wouldn’t see in 2020.”
To be clear, there is no evidence this was a racially motivated shooting so blaming President Trump’s non-existent racism is extremely inflammatory and a straight-up lie.
There is some pretty good evidence that the McMichaels are being railroaded by the racial grievance industry, hungry for some racism to be outraged over. First, here’s the video of the shooting:
As you can see, Arbery tries to take the shotgun from Travis McMichael and even throws some punches. If the McMichaels were out hunting black people, why did they pull over and attempt to detain Arbery instead of running him over or shooting him from the truck? The first shot rings out after Arbery had attacked Travis. This video supports the McMichaels’ claim that they were trying to make a citizens arrest and that they feared for their lives.

If Arbrey was simply out for a jog, why the hell was he trespassing and lurking around on private property? This video busts the narrative that Arbrey was just trying to get some exercise.
While there has been no liberal media reports that the McMichaels have a history of racism, and you know they looked for it, Arbrey does have a history of being a scumbag:
When Arbery, 25, was in high school, he was sentenced to five years’ probation as a first offender on charges of carrying a weapon on campus, and several counts of obstructing a law enforcement officer, the paper reported.
In 2018, he was convicted of a probation violation after he was charged with shoplifting, according to court documents obtained by the outlet.
And remember, Georgia has a citizens arrest law and a stand your ground law. The McMichaels were within the law to attempt a citizens arrest as well as to defend their lives. The only reason charges have been filed against them is because they are white men men who shot a black man and the left has to manufacture some racial outrage.
