Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was arrested and charged with 3rd degree murder after he was filmed kneeling on the back of George Floyd’s neck, a black man who later died. An autopsy shows that Floyd was on drugs and died from a heart attack but thousands of morons are looting and burning our cities, demanding justice, so charges against Chauvin have been upgraded to 2nd degree murder. Also, 3 other former police officers at the scene have been charged with aiding and abetting the “murder” of a guy on drugs who died from a heart attack.
CBS Minnesota reports:
All four fired Minneapolis police officers involved in George Floyd’s death now face criminal charges, and all are in custody.
According to court records, Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J Alexander Kueng all face aiding and abetting second-degree unintentional murder, as well as aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.
Yo, is one of those “racist” ex-cops black? I know one of them is Asian.
Additionally, Derek Chauvin’s murder charge has been upgraded to second-degree unintentional murder. He still faces third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
How can you hit someone with 3 separate murder charges when there was only one death? A better question is, how can you charge anyone with murder when that death wasn’t the result of a murder?
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office released the results of Floyd’s autopsy and there are some interesting conclusions:
Floyd did not die of strangulation or mechanical asphyxiation, which would counter the claim that Chauvin killed him by kneeling on the back of his neck. The exact words of the report said the autopsy “revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation.”
Floyd did have significant health issues like arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, better known as a bum ticker.
Floyd did die of cardiopulmonary arrest, better known as a heart attack, with “law enforcement subdual” being a contributing factor. In other words, Floyd had heart disease and the act of restraining him may have triggered a heart attack. The former officers had no way of knowing about Floyd’s health issues and he did resist arrest, necessitating restraint.
But there was more complicating factors: The toxicology report found that Floyd was real high on fentanyl and methamphetamine at the time of his death. You know what else can trigger a heart attack in someone with a bad heart? A psycho speedball OD of fentanyl and meth.
Prosecutors have obviously heaped these charges on to appease the mobs of scumbags destroying cities across the country but this could backfire in a big way. One of the risks prosecutors have when they over-charge is that the evidence isn’t there and an acquitall is inevitable. This happened in Baltimore when the state’s attorney charged 6 officers with 1st degree murder in the Freddie Gray case. All six officers walked.
There is probably sufficient evidence to get Chauvin on an involuntary manslaughter charge, but 2nd degree murder? Not a chance. If idiots are tearing this country apart now, what do they think is going to happen when Chavin is found not guilty?
