With thousands of idiots and thugs ignoring social distancing rules to loot and burn cities across the country, there will inevitably be a spike in coronavirus cases as we are still in the midst of a pandemic. No worries, liberals already have an excuse loaded in their propaganda cannon, ready to fire. When the curve unflattens because losers have taken to the streets for wonton destruction, liberals will say the jump in COVID-19 is due to the police using tear gas on the rioters.
Clearly the Central Liberalism Authority sent out a memo to deflect blame from the “protesters” and their irresponsible behavior. Several sources are already pushing the narrative that it’s not the rioting and lack of social distancing but rather tear gas that will cause a spike in coronavirus infections.
The New York Post led the way with this hard-hitting piece of junk science:

The billowing clouds of tear gas that the authorities are sending through protest crowds across the United States may increase the risk that the coronavirus could spread through the gatherings.
Along with the immediate pain that can cause watering eyes and burning throats, tear gas may cause damage to people’s lungs and make them more susceptible to getting a respiratory illness, according to studies on the risks of exposure. The gas can also incite coughing, which can further spread the virus from an infected person.
The NYT backed up this preposterous claim by citing a study from 2012, which as we all know is about 8 years before there was a thing called COVID-19.
Plus they talked to some douchebag from Duke University, identified as a “researcher” and not an expert on coronavirus or tear gas, who said, “I’m really concerned that this might catalyze a new wave of Covid-19.”
If these lawless scumbags were observing the social distancing rules like the rest of us, there wouldn’t even be an issue.
NPR also got the memo to sound the alarm that tear gas is the real lawbreaker here:
Health experts urged protesters not to sing and shout to reduce the threat of person-to-person transmission. And they cautioned that police tactics such as tear gas and pepper spray could exacerbate the situation by prompting people to cough and gasp for air.
And finally, here’s New York City Council Health Committee Chairman Mark D. Levine putting the preemptive liberal excuse together:
Let’s be clear about something: if there is a spike in coronavirus cases in the next two weeks, don’t blame the protesters.

Clearly the liberal overlords are in a panic that people might blame these violent protesters for their actions so they developed the narrative that tear gas is responsible for the inevitable coronavirus spike. Nothing happens organically on the left. This is a coordinated campaign to spread bullshit.
When white people were protesting the coronavirus lockdown or going to the beach, these same experts assured us they were causing a major health crisis and there would be a spike in coronavirus cases. That never happened, but chances are thousands of mostly black people rioting in the streets will bring a wave of infection. The good news is that liberals will blame the tear gas and not the scumbags.
