If you wanted to watch the Academy Award winning Gone With the Wind or the Emmy Award winning show Cops, too bad. Because a black guy on drugs died of a heart attack in Minneapolis, these respected pieces of entertainment are no longer available to view. Clearly Black Lives Matter is calling all of the shots now, so let’s assume being white will soon be cancelled as well.
This is from The Hollywood Reporter:
Paramount Network has pulled the plug on Cops for good.
The ViacomCBS-owned cabler had removed the long-running show from its schedule in the wake of nationwide protests following the police-involved death of George Floyd on May 25. Now, the network says it’s dropping the show altogether.
“Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” said a network spokesperson.
Cops was set to premier its 33rd season on June 8, but the network pulled the show because it portrays police favorably and too many of the suspects arrested on the show were black.
In related news:
A&E also pulled last week’s episodes of Live PD — which also follows officers on patrol, albeit in real time. A source told THR that new episodes Friday and Saturday are “unlikely,” although A&E is still evaluating things. A spokesperson for Discovery’s ID channel says its similar show, Body Cam, is also off the schedule for the foreseeable future.
We need Munny’s Body Cam Theater now more than ever.
Over at HBO Max, the new streaming service is also taking steps to kiss Black Lives Matter’s ass.
Screen Rant reports;
HBO Max has removed Gone with the Wind from its streaming service following an op-ed calling for its removal, as well as the ongoing Black Lives Matter Protests. Gone with the Wind is considered a cinema classic, set during the Civil War and its aftermath.
Yesterday, 12 Years a Slave screenwriter John Ridley called attention to Gone with the Wind specifically. In an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times, he called for the movie’s removal from HBO Max, at least for now. Ridley said in part, “It is a film that, when it is not ignoring the horrors of slavery, pauses only to perpetuate some of the most painful stereotypes of people of color.” Now, HBO Max has quietly removed Gone with the Wind, in a move that wasn’t announced ahead of time.
HBO Max released a statement explaining their decision to remove this film:
“Gone With The Wind is a product of its time and depicts some of the ethnic and racial prejudices that have, unfortunately, been commonplace in American society. These racist depictions were wrong then and are wrong today, and we felt that to keep this title up without an explanation and a denouncement of those depictions would be irresponsible. These depictions are certainly counter to WarnerMedia’s values,” said MBO Max.
As you can see, liberalism has put Black Lives Matter in charge of everything. They are telling liberal cities to defund the police and liberal mayors are complying. They are making guilty white liberals take a knee in solidarity against cops and subservience to BLM, which guilty white liberals are doing enthusiastically. And now BLM is deciding what we can or cannot watch and the liberal media is obeying those orders.
In the unlikely event that Joe Biden wins the White House and democrats take the Senate in November, it’s increasingly likely that being white will be crime as dictated by the the new overlords of liberalism: Black Lives Matter.
