On Friday in Atlanta, a white police officer was forced to shoot and kill an armed black criminal. Thanks to the liberal media and democrats taking their cues from the unruly mobs destroying our cities, justifiable uses of force are now considered hate crimes. The officer was fired and the chief of police resigned, but the real justice came when the rioters torched a Wendy’s because that’s where the deadly shooting took place. What they hell did Wendy have to do with this?
Friday night Atlanta police received a call about a man passed out in car in the Wendy’s drive-through. Responding Officers, Garrett Rolfe and Devin Brosnan, made contact with the suspect, identified as Rayshard Brooks.
Brooks reeked of alcohol and was slurring his speech. Officers spoke with him for nearly a half-hour, in which Brooks demonstrated he didn’t know where he was or how much he had to drink. Eventually officers gave him a breathalyzer and he blew a .108, which far exceeds the legal limit.
As the officers tried to arrest Brooks he began fighting. One of the cops kept telling him to stop fighting or he was going to get Tazered. Brooks took that as a challenge and stole a Tazer from one of the officers. He took off running with the cops in pursuit.
Brooks turned and fired the Taser at Officer Rolfe, who returned fire with his service pistol. Rolfe shot three times and hit Brooks at least once. Brooks was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Here’s a little safety tip for all you kids out there: if you want to avoid getting shot by the police, don’t steal their Tazers and then try to use the weapons against them.
“Justice” was swift in this case as Officer Rolfe was immediately fired and Officer Bronson was put on administrative leave. The much heralded new Atlanta Chief of Police, Erika Shields, resigned her post.
On Saturday night, protesters went to the Wendy’s where the shooting took place and set it on fire. The fire department put the fire out, but the rioters managed to get it lit again and all the Frosties and Baconators were incinerated.
Presumably, corporate mascot Wendy is partially responsible for the justifiable shooting because she forgot to check her white privilege. Plus everyone knows that square-shaped hamburger patties are symbols of white supremacy.
It’s hard to imagine that anyone will be willing to be a police officer in area where they might have to arrest a black person after this. Cops used to have a right to defend themselves, but Atlanta has shown that is no longer the case. Seriously, why would anyone want this job?
Cops can’t defend themselves against dangerous criminals and if they do, they’re getting fired and probably arrested. They used to worry about coming home after a shift, but now ending up in jail and bankrupt is added to that reasonable fear.
