Where is this systemic racism we’ve been hearing so much about? Black people have been able to defy social distancing and stay-at-home orders to riot and loot (they’ve also been able to riot and loot) and now they don’t even have to wear masks in public. One Oregon county has issued a mandatory mask-wearing order with an exemption for people of color. “Whites-only” orders used to be so racist, but now they’re turning in the black man’s favor and eliminating racism somehow.
The Lincoln County, Oregon health administrator issued a new order to help stop the coronavirus a few days ago:
In order to avoid spreading respiratory droplets and to minimize transmission to others of the virus that causes COIVID-19, all individuals in Lincoln County shallop wear face coverings over their noses and mouths when they will be at indoor public settings or outdoor locations and cannot maintain distancing of approximately six feet from other individual who does not share their household.
There’s some weird grammar in there for sure, but also a strange interpretation of what “all individuals” means. There are exemptions for young children and handicapped persons, but also this carve-out:
People of color who have heightened concerns about racial profiling and harassment due to wearing face coverings in public.
So “all individuals” means only healthy white adults. That seems racist, agist, and ablest and let’s not lose fact that this order says black people are not individuals. They probably won’t care because they get a sweet perk that is denied to the white man.
Actually, it comes with another advantage:
No person shall intimidate or harass individuals who do not comply.
So black people don’t have to wear a mask and if a white person gives them shit, the white person will be arrested? I don’t really know if that is true since the order did state very clearly that black people are not individuals.
Also, this order is unenforceable because there are no penalties for refusing to wear a mask. According to the health administrator, the mask mandate is to “induce voluntary compliance.” Police can’t stop, detain, question, or cite anyone not wearing a mask, which is probably another concession to aggrieved black people.
In reality, there was no point in issuing this order other than for the guilty white liberals in charge to show that they support Black Lives Matter and are doing their part to stop racism by making white people do something nobody wants to do.
Lincoln County, Oregon is 91% white with an only 3% black population. I did the math and that means there are around 1,300 black people in the whole county. I can see why they’d need to come up with an illegal and racist rule to appease such an important group of people.
Speaking of which, Black Lives Matter and their white leftist fans have decided that all American history is racist and must be destroyed. Abraham Lincoln, the guy who literally ended slavery in this country, is now seen as a racist so I’m sure Lincoln County’s next order will be to change its name to George Floyd County.
