California Locked Down Again With Strike Team To Enforce Compliance

When Black Lives Matter activists took to the streets, burning and looting in the thousands and ignoring all coronavirus rules, the democrats running California said it was an essential expression of free speech and exempt from any restrictions. After a month of that civil unrest there is a spike in COVID-19 cases that those same democrats can’t explain. Just in time for 4th of July weekend, California is going back on lockdown and the Governor has created a special forces unit to enforce compliance.

I live in LA and have been under this ridiculous lockdown since mid-March. I more or less have been obeying the rules because with my luck I’d get a ticket or arrested if I didn’t. When the Black Lives Matter riots started happening, the first thing I thought was, this bullshit is going to cause an increase in coronavirus cases and the the asshole democrats will use it as an excuse to lock us down again just as things were starting to open up again. Of all of my predictions that came true, this is the one I’m least happy about.

Fox News reports:

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a new round of lockdown measures Wednesday, ordering 19 counties to close all indoor operations for several business sectors, including restaurants, as the state grapples with a resurgence of coronavirus cases.

In addition to bars being forced to shut down temporarily, restaurants, wineries, movie theaters, family entertainment venues, zoos, museums and cardrooms must halt operations in selected communities, Newsom said Wednesday.

Beaches in Los Angeles County, along with piers and bicycle paths, will close beginning Friday through Monday in an effort to prevent a repeat of Memorial Day weekend when large crowds gathered in close proximity and largely ignored safety measures.

All parking facilities at state beaches in Southern California and the Bay Area will also be closed for the upcoming weekend. The closures reverse the reopening process that began weeks ago after months of unprecedented lockdowns.

But wait, it gets worse because Governor Newsom is unleashing a strike force to make sure nobody tries anything foolish like earning a living:

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Wednesday that he has set up “multi-agency strike teams” to make sure businesses across the state are adhering to his orders to close shop as cases of COVID-19 surge.

The strike teams — which will consist of members from the state’s Alcohol Beverage Control, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Highway Patrol and other departments — will target “non-compliant workplaces.”

“We’ll be looking at the health orders in relation to indoor vs. outdoor activities, the Fourth of July,” said Newsom.

Newsome also ordered all cities to cancel their fireworks displays for the 4th. It’s not a coincidence that America-hating democrats are using this particular weekend to lock us down again.

Some of those agencies that make up Newsom’s COVID-19 strike team are armed law enforcement officers. The same governor who encouraged BLM scum to tear up the cities, is sending cops with guns after law-abiding business owners who “illegally” serve tacos and Buffalo hot wings.

The message in California is: you can loot a business, but don’t try running one.

This is very infuriating to me because things were just starting to get somewhat normal out here. In the past couple of weeks I sat down at a restaurant for a meal (and drinks!), attended a small gathering with friends, went hiking, and took my dog to the beach. Now, that’s all gone again because scumbags were allowed to loot sneaker stores and burn cop cars.

I was going to host a 4th of July BBQ here at Def-Con News World HQ, but had to cancel it because Newsom has banned any gatherings of non-household family members. I should un-cancel it and if the cops or Newsom’s strike team shows up, explain that it’s a peaceful protest and then demonstrate that by throwing bottles of piss at them and torching their vehicles. I’ll even loot the burgers and beer if that’s what I need to do to comply with California state law.
