Even before the George Floyd riots, Portland has been an Antifa/anarchist sh*tshow with weekly riots going on for years. Since a black drug addict died of a heart attack in Minneapolis, the city has been under daily siege, with a solid 2 months of violence and destruction. Portland’s mayor has been allowing this to happen and it turns out the entire city is run by leftist lunatics. The Portland city commission says that she believes undercover Portland cops and not protesters are really responsible for all the looting, arson, and chaos.
While most liberals are busy freaking out that President Trump has deployed federal agents to defend the federal courthouse in Portland, the city’s commission has different stupid thing to hyperventilate over.
The Willamette Weekly reports:
On Wednesday, City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty blamed the Portland Police Bureau and Mayor Ted Wheeler for exacerbating violence in Portland and effectively welcoming federal law enforcement agents to the city.
She also leveled an incendiary charge at Portland cops: Hardesty claimed it was they, not protesters, who had started fires around government buildings.
“Portland police have consistently lied to the public. They’ve lied to our congressional delegation about whether or not they were coordinating activities with this federal secret police force. Portland was never out of control. Portland’s police overreacted, which gave 45 [President Trump] permission to send in these troops,” said Hardesty.
When has Portland ever been in control? I mean in control in a law and order sense, not in control of Antifa.
Hardesty recently helped defund the Portland PD’s budget by $15 million and the Portland city council passed a law that bans local police from doing anything to stop the violent protesters on the streets.
And to justify that crap, Hardesty floated this alternate reality conspiracy theory:
…Hardesty went on to say she doesn’t believe Portland protesters have caused violence or started fires. Instead, she claimed, any such action was carried out by plainclothes police officers embedded in crowds of peaceful protesters.
“I absolutely believe that it is police action, and they are sending saboteurs and provocateurs into peaceful crowds so that they can justify their inhumane treatment of people who are standing up for their rights,” Hardesty said.

It absolutely blows me away that there aren’t enough people in Portland who care that their city is a Mad Max wasteland ruled by violent post-apocalyptic warlords. This recent unrest is nothing new as the city has been in control of Antifa and anarchist terrorist for years. I often say they get the city they deserve because they are the ones voting for these clowns in charge, but it’s still mind boggling that no one seems to give a shit.
Don’t business owners care that they can’t open because of constant riots? Don’t citizens mind that it’s not safe to take an evening stroll? Don’t parents give a crap that they can’t let their children go out and play?
Portland is what it looks like when far-left whackos are running the show. People in the rest of the country should consider this when deciding who to vote for. A vote for a democrat is a vote for mayhem and poverty.
